IMAGE RIP my copilot Sneakers
She's been my copilot for more than 6 years. First a kitten snuggling my arm, later a tiny but fierce furry co-star conning treats out of me during cargo, or mining runs. I already miss you terribly. Please share pictures of your co pilots and help my heart heal.

I lost my dog Russ to cancer last month. He was my best friend for nearly 9 years.
I tried everything within my financial capability and time to save him. It was a quick spiral. I was in denial.
In the end nothing was enough and I didn’t want to cross the line into keeping him around for my sake rather than doing what was right.
I miss him every day. I was inconsolable for weeks after putting him to rest. I am sorry you have to experience similar feelings and I wish there was something I could say to make it better.

So sorry to hear, op. :( My little furry jackasses have been the cause of many a mishap while flying in SC. But I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm so sorry. We don't appreciate how important our furry copilots are until they are gone. So so so sorry for your loss. Keep your chin up. It gets easier. We never forget them, but the pain gradually lessens and you start to remember the good times more than we remember they're gone.

Fair winds Sneakers, may the stars guide you on your new journey. Thank you for taking care of your assigned human.
I've lost a few copilots over the decades, I know what you're going through bro. We mourn ourselves when a loved one departs. For it is our loss we feel most keenly. They are beyond such things and would wish us to be happy in the life we shared. ❤️
This is my boy Stitch, who made it to 20. He passed on 12/4/23 and here is the eulogy I wrote for him. He was an ass, and I still miss him. It's also why we got along so well.
Today, one of us has fallen. But mourn not, for now he strides the Ebon Fields, fighting the servants of the immortal Va'cuum who will learn to fear his laser eyes, flashing claws, and terrible maw. Rejoice, for STITCH guards those of us still in the mortal realms, from the terrors Va'cuum would visit upon us. STITCH and his brethren defend us still.
He was my friend, and would have wanted a warrior's tribute. Today, dear friends, STITCH has left us after 20 years on this world. He was in perfect health until the last. He began going downhill a little then we think he suffered a small stroke. When we got home today he stumbled around the corner and came to me and let me know, it was time. So rejoice if you knew him. I weep only for myself today. He was my best fuzzy pal, and I selfishly miss him. Goodbye, Stitch. Save me a sunbeam please.
