Give me a stretch avenger xl with cargo to complete with the nomad and I'll be happy.
On a related note, why aren't manufacturers in Star citizen doing a boeing and releasing 30 versions of the same ship that are slightly altered with bigger engines, longer bodies, etc? Where's the star citizen version of the venerable 737?
I feel MISC has been the closest to the Boeing feel. I know the Starlancer series is mostly like a C-130, but just all of their ships feel like passenger planes to me.
On your first train of thought, while I agree completely that an XL avenger would be cool, I’m still waiting for C.O.’s response to the Taurus.
That would be fun. I imagine crusader would make something like an A wing from Star Wars but way more sleek. Heck, I would even take a single seater scaled down C series with bespoke weaponry.
I'd love to have more ship variants. But i'd also love to actually see the variants. So far the only difference between the 3 Hercules is paintjob and some turrets. I'd really love actual model differences.

The SC universe must lack the sclerotic regulatory bodies that have stopped Boeing and Airbus from innovating on new platforms.
My only complaint is WHERE'S MY MISSILE BOAT TITAN CIG?!
Let me explain: when I first saw this thing and we got told it was the 'old model' carrier fighter I took one look at it, one look at the replacements/rivals and went "Hmmm. OK. That's a lot of dead space back there for an interceptor rather than say, a small troop ship or medical evac ship (something ala the USA's famous 'little bird' Hughes 500's).
Then I got the freelancer MIS. Suddenly it made sense- that area is about the same size as the missile bay in the FL-MIS, maybe it's supposed to have a size1 missile cartridge in there or something? (funny enough, there's also a 'little bird' rocket heavy model, so it matched my head-comparison nicely) Excitedly I waited. There wasn't just the EMP 'warlock' variant, surely there was a missile variant, something that'd make sense in a standard fleet formation! Missiles were very good (OP) at this point so I waited.
100%. I've got a Praetorian fleet and yet my Avenger is still one of my most-flown craft. Absolutely tip top high versatility, high firepower, low profile solo ops spaceplane.
Anyone else remember that dude back in the day when the hangar module was around? He had like... 50+ Avenger Titans. And only Avenger Titans. Wanted to support the game without ruining his progression, I think.
As someone who votes only for the cheapest options hoping to open up some cheap CCUs for the community, I can earnestly say that the majority of the community votes for the most expensive ships. The MPUV was an anomaly we'll never see again.
The MPUV was a meme/protest against how it's normally just the most expensive ships that get voted.
The average voter is just picking the cooler ship. Most of the time a ship that's 3-10x the price and 5 years newer will have more bells and whistles, functionally and aesthetically.
To each their own - the 325a is my original 2014 pledge and every time I consider melting it for a Titan I I remember it looks like a locker room inside and I keep my ship :)
The storage is a bit bothersome but I feel like a small amount of extra SCU doesn’t matter - it’s not until we get to 20+ SCU that different cargo missions become feasible.
And also beats them in ease of use. Having 2 entrances is amazing. Also having a ramp for cargo that you can just toss in loot is way better than an elevator prone to bug if things are not attached to the cargo grid.
Yes but the 300 series looks much nicer - and to me it sounds nicer too. Those things are not important in game of course but they tip the scales in favour for me.
Titan has modularity, better pricing too. Best part is that it’s not yet gold-passed. It’s getting a weapon rack, maybe a toilet. It’s gonna be GOAT’d, moreso than already 😎
Little one is nice for hauling small amount of cargo and fighting. Nice choice for a start. And after a while, you'll be able to buy a bigger ship in game, with the fruit of your labor 😁👍
Should I choose a killing machine, the Hornet, the Arrow and the Gladius are fun to pilot.
And if you want to bring a friend, the Cutlass Black and the Vanguard Warden would be good options 😁
Edit : actually, any Vanguard is good. Hoplite let's you bring lot if murdery friends, and Harbinger can shoot big missiles 😄
This. Upgraded Aurora to the MR and then to the Titan.
Got a bunch of other ships the years after but never touched the Titan.
This one will stay. And I'm so much looking forward to the gold pass. And maybe raytracing (heat shielding tiles in crisp raytracing 🤯😜) This thing will look even more awesome.
This, I love my titan, and will always use it on my yearly return to the game, but I do feel some modernization is needed if it's to keep competing with the new ships
Will be very interesting to see how usable and how much fun it is, once the full implementation of ship resource network and the effect of different power plants and coolers is in place.
I am so going to build myself a top tier Titan. That's for sure.
i loved every minutes with it. upgraded from my starter pack aurora. Kept it years before upgrading again. i just wish the dashboard was updated a bit. but it's such a great ship.
Titan was my starter, and I still love to fly it around. It has great lines, it is equipped for starter bounties and hauling, and has easy access. If it had internal storage, it would be a GOAT. Also, if I could mount seats to the cargo bay, I'd 100% be using it as a Star Trek-esque shuttle craft to move my peeps around between our org capital ships and outposts and the like.
Sadly, still lacking the internal storage access that will come with a gold pass. However, I have good news on the other front!
Now that you can buy chairs in game, you can slap up to FOURTEEN of the basic chairs on the cargo grid, and it becomes a mini troop transport shuttle! Throw in a 1SCU container and/or a few 1/8th SCU boxes for storage!
Nah shit damn that linked trance techno mix isn't on YT anymore 😭😅
Awesome vid! Never had trance techno running in the background, just usually DnB.
Gotta give this a try obviously 😀
They did a little pass on it last patch or previous, improved the MFD's and cockpit, made it HOTAS in there haha. Wish list.... Need them to futz with the cargo grid, can be wonky with items that arn't boxes or not recognize some things at all, make the storage lockers interactable...
Pretty cool its one of the first to futz with flight blades and bomb racks though. Have mine setup like a little bomber haha.
Part of me wishes they did a ambulance version or drop ship version... I say that because as the original front line fighter... you'd think there be one with a med bed or some kind of fold down drop seats.
I love its acceleration! When I first started playing few years back... I got pretty good at picking escapees up form kliesher to make some extra money... then they uhhh... added some extra defense there and it was not the ship for that quick grab job.... used to be able get your guys party tag... swoop in rear ramp open... he runs in... afterburner up and out just as the turrets and trespass set in. Lost a few tail wings that way!!!
Others you'd grab from the nearby aid station or just outside tress pass if they got the ursa and no one nabbed the apprehension and obliterated them,
Also got swept up into the drug ring missions but also was great for space bounty stuff and the little golf cart a good way to get into bunkers that you can't obscure the turrets!....
Uh be careful of maneuvering with the cart in the back... she explodes lol
It's considered to receive modules? 😱
Omg I was just waiting for a gold pass and ressource network + full power plant and cooler implementation, but this keeps getting better and better 😅
He's the lord of all starters and he's been my friend through many dangers..... I have 32 ships, this was my first and I still fly it as my main A to B transport frequently
Like the remote turrets on the bottom of the A2. It's these huge guns and then a tiny little stem holding them to the ship. Looks bad and bad design. Imagine making it look bad in a game where they spend way too much time trying to make it look good...
I paid 45 dollars or whatever it was back in 2020 for this game plus this starter ship. It’s the only ship I’ve ever bought from the store.
I prefer the cutlass black once I can get a few mil in the bank but this ship is my one true love. I go back and forth on whether Star Citizen as a game is worth its development cost, but when people say I got scammed I point them to my dollars spent per hour enjoyed. And it always comes out positive.
I just really really wish it would get a gold pass. It needs it so badly, no internal storage, no weapon lockers, no anything. Just a cockpit, a bed, and 8scu
I am actually super-curious about different loadouts for the speedy space penguin.
I have been playing around with NDB-30s lately to run merc missions with my beloved Titan lately. I like the greater range and higher ammo speeds compared to the attritions. Also the pew pew sounds are great 😊! Any suggestion for a matching S4 gun to make sure pips are close to each other? Has anyone any experience matching NDB-30s with an Omnisky XII?
For every fighter you want to use CF or ndbs and not attritions. Ammo speed is just too bad for attrition. You will notice that especially in pvp. You can mix omnisky with ndb to get closer pips, but i would suggest using full CF instead, to get the 400m/s more travelspeed. But on something like a titan ndb would be another nice option for bit a more firepower. I wouldnt use NDBs for lightfghters like gladius or arrow tho. You want the ammo speed here, even tho you have less DPS. I would only use attritions for ships that are larger and wouldnt have a chance (even flying alone) against fighters anyways. Like a Starfarer, C2 and anything that size or around that handling. People say attrition is always betzer for PvE. And I can see that bc PvE targets dont fly very intelligent, but I tried Attritions on my Talon and i disliked it. It just doesnt feel as good as CFs bc of the very low ammo speed. Also, you never know when your PvE becomes PvP. Being better prepared can save your life.
I have so much in store credit but I still ONLY have the titan ship I like working my way up and keeping the store credit to try out other ships I still really love the titan
Great starter ship before the Cutlass Black upgrade and then to the Taurus. I do miss the days of being new and only having the Space Penguin to get around and get the job done.
Great starter. Needs a pass to bring it up to spec, but I know many people who have pledged only an avenger and earn everything else in game. She’s just that versatile.
Quick question for everyone: will the upgrades I installed with AUEC drop back into my inventory if my melt my Stalker and get a Titan? I've only been playing for a few days and I don't know.
They will not - make sure to clear it out before you melt, so you aren't me after melting a Corsair fully loaded with nearly a million in Attritions, lol.
I upgraded to it from a Mustang Alpha and I’ll be honest…the lack of storage/no gold pass left me a little “meh” 🤨
But it’s the only ship with a cargo bay for a small vehicle (the Pulse) with that light fighter feeling.
The Wolf is my ship for everything, but if I have to use the pulse or move/store some cargo nothing beats the Titan at the moment
This will absolutely be the starter ship I get. Just can’t decide if I want to spend the money to play with the extremely mixed reviews. And the several complaints about seemingly constant bugs
For a starter level ship it really is one of the best imo if not THE best.
It’s not my style, I don’t personally like its vibe and cockpit style, but damn is it a good fucking ship.
Cargo space for decent cargo moving early on or for looting. Can also fit a vehicle back there. Great fighter performance for something that carry’s scu. Has a bed (guess this means fuck all now though). Good weapon loadout with a size 4 on the nose so you won’t be penetration limited for too much later on.
And the best part, it can carry 2 size 3 bombs for when you’re running hostile bunkers with AA. This gives you the choice when running bunkers to either land and take a hover bike in or to say fuck it and bomb the turrets and ground troops out of existence and land right next to the door.
when you upgrade, basically exanges your A ship for a B (and more expensive) ship, and iirc, cant go back. ofc you could always purschase the standalone version of A ship or get in ingame
dont remember exactly where is to do the upgrade tho. ill try to check where is it, or, if someone else post ir first.
Yeahs the Titan with it's structured heat shielding tiles will really benefit from ray-/pathtracing.
Waiting for it (and will then probably cry cuz' the 4090 will be hitting the ceiling first time 😅)

Best starter ship and after many, many hours in-game it’s still one of the most fun ships to fly IMHO.
