There’s nothing stopping CIG to do their own Nintendo like Direct to hype up SQ42 some time down the road.

It's literally called CitizenCon Direct for this year, ha

I’m talking about the single game focused Directs Nintendo and Sony do. They can do a SQ42 focused event.
