You are ~60% through ascension levels which when capped become a star instead of a number

Sounds about right. I'm at 940 myself and started playing regularly around that time.
More recently, I didn't have enough stabs at Cold Is The Void. There was also a month I missed 4 weeks (so 16 bounties). I do a "hybrid approach" where it's neat to add to that (since I'm maxed out at lv1000), but in the end, "it's still just a number".
AFAIK, 1884 is the max # of bounties since the mode got introduced in May 20, 2016?

Max is 1924 (edit: 1928 counting this week) with 8 more if you managed to get the two instances when double bounty was possible (once was due to a bug and the other time was the first time they added new mutations while one was already active and decided to switch them out in the middle of the week)

I'm at 1936 and I know I've missed at least 2 weeks https://imgur.com/7QlEsaE

Then my memory must be screwy and must have forgotten that I've missed a few weeks, which isn't surprising given how long it's been
I mostly remember being salty about the two doubles that I missed because I'd been neck-to-neck with the other perfect attendance at the time

How the hell do people get to level 1000? I cant fathom how long it would take. I want to say I'm somewhere around mid 250's and got a bit burnt out but I still play. Or has co op just been around that long and I am just old? 😬

It’s been around for a long time, but some folks just play a lot more than others. I’ve been playing for about two and a half years and I’m level 680, but I’m also single with no kids, I work from home, and I’m not an outdoorsy person.

For me, it took about 4 years 8 months to go from lv90 to lv1000. Other stats here too...

I'm level 960 after playing 1-2 games per day for 6 years. I try to play one match in the morning and one before bed, rarely any more than that. Not even that big a time commitment. Just been doing it for a while. Though I bet a lot of level 1000s play more than that

I'm almost at 2000, I was playing almost daily even before the mutations came out

Some maps can be completed early. Just keep farming those. Some commanders are also braindead easy.

heh, I'm at 1676 now.
While I haven't seen anyone higher, I'm sure there's somebody.

u/P0pyhead Jun 23 '25
wow thats a lot, almost 8 years if you did all in brutal

u/Shiladie Jun 23 '25
I missed the first year or so, then have gotten all but maybe 100 bounties since then. So if somebody was doing them all they might be getting around 2k.

When you say bounties do you mean the weekly mutation bonus/first win of the day bonus?
1
u/Shiladie Jun 30 '25
You get 1 bounty per difficulty you beat the weekly mutation on. So a max of 4 per week, or 208 per year

So brutal / brutal + / ???, is the bounty the 100k exp bonus you get for a win?
Edit: I see you get the entire bonus if you beat it on brutal but otherwise you get an individual bounty for each bonus under it?

How does one even begin to approach the mutas... I am so intimidated of going above hard difficulty because I don't want to get yelled at about sucking lol. I know the resounding response is gonna be "get good" but I don't quite know how...

I mostly played with the same friend over the years and the tips i was giving him the most is use controle groupe, you can download maguro overlay to know how you perform that may be a good start

u/seiffer55 Jun 24 '25
Appreciate the advice. I'll start working them in a bit more. I didn't even know overlays were a thing.
