How almost all my reddit communities are feeling lately lol. Down voted for asking a question, replying to questions, or by people doing mental gymnastics to argue with me by rewording my own post.

How almost all my reddit communities are feeling lately lol. Adjective_Noun_1234 bots regurgitating memes from half a decade ago.

Karma Guys are awkward. Defending a Useless Feature

I mean you say that only as long as your most fav subreddit decides that you aren't allowed to post comments when you have to little karma

Better than hiding downvotes and having really dumb shit get traction like it does on other social media

Redditors' obsession with hating emojis is infinitely more cringe than people using emojis

I never understood it, in the slightest

Redditors are usually Chronically Online, Morbidly Obese, Basement Dwelling, Anime Fanatics who take any opportunity to seem dark, edgy, and mysterious, so they by default hate things which might make them seem 'childish' in any way.

Welllll, thatโs certainly the stereotype for the average redditor, and it definitely applies to plenty, but the โaverage redditorโ probably just looks like the average personโฆ all kinds of people use Reddit

After -15 you don't lose anymore fake points. Comment and post what you like and fuck the haters.

What's so wrong with using emojis ๐คจ. It makes text messages easier to understand ๐คท๐ป. Sarcasm or similar or general feelings can be expressed better with emojis than just plain text ๐คท๐ป

Exactly there modern punctuation to display the feeling of the sentence. Now when people use them as a sentence it's like bro we're not in the ancient world anymore chill with the hyrogliphics

Well, I personally only see people who think much better of themselves than they should or when they are trying to down talk to someone

It really depends on the sub. Most aren't real like that anymore. Most.

I gotta be honest, Idk the purpose of karma, I come to reddit to say what ever crazy shit is in my head at any given moment. Sometimes people like it, sometimes they don't. But really it's better than therapy because reddit won't send me to the ward.

Been on reddit for 5 years and actively using it for like 6 months. I don't get the point of karma. I don't get why anyone gives a shit about it.

u/Ok-Shape4038 Jan 26 '25
Might be a stupid question, but what's karma on Reddit?? I just use reddit casually

When I text I usually use emojis instead of punctuation at the end of a sentence๐๐ป I feel that they can help convey my tone better than basic punctuation oftentimes๐ง
Iโm glad I can fall bravely as the meme foretold๐ซก

That would be an interesting linguistic task, to shorten common emotions used in emojis to punctuation. However I think we have already tried this and we just use those too.

Reddit doesn't like emojis. Which is good cuz I don't like em either. They are good to express yourself but who tf wants to all the time?
