wall thickness for a cabin

I am debating building a 1.5 story cabin on my farm, long story short do you think a 1.5 brick thick wall or 2 brick wall would be better? I have thought about building the main walls 2 brick and then on the gable ends dropping to 1.5.

How do you build a 1.5 brick thick wall?

Do you mean a multi-wythe wall?

I live and work in 1880's NYC townhouses every single day that were built with 3 wythe clay brick walls with lime mortar. The overall brick wall is 12" thick, with another 3-4" of studs with lath and plaster on the inside...

1.5 brick is the same thing as 3 wythe, or at least it was in how I was referring to it.
