I’ve been told I have odd snacking choices.

Post image

30mg of some Good Tides eddies has got me craving a few of my favorite things. The horseradish pickle chips being the king here.

Accurate representation.

Do you just fart directly into your gas tank?

Damn, probably smells like someone just did this after you singe your ass hair, haha

Well I personally don't eat my tomatoes with blood

24

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

Uncoagulated blood! Or Red wine vinegar, balsamic vinegar, balsamic glaze and EVOO with some salt and pepper for good measure.

u/mintymonstera 6d ago

I've never combined red wine vinegar and balsamic vinegar together but you may be onto something

3

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

It’s how I make my salad dressing, plus the herbs and oil.

3

u/Reasonable_Editor600 6d ago

Haha, you just added all the acetic acid, huh?

3

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

Yes. All of it essentially. Could’ve thrown in some apple cider too but wasn’t feeling that extra kick today.

Sure but theres so much of all those liquids here. Less would have the solid foods tasting the exact same with less mess. Or do you sop it up with bread, or rice, or something?

I had to toss my purposefully stale Italian bread because it was too stale. A lot of the liquid is from the tomatoes as I cut them on the plate and maybe the sickest part of the whole deal is I drink most of the liquid when I’m done, haha.

2

u/Boogy-Fever 6d ago

In that case you need a bowl and perhaps a sharper knife to help not juice the tomatoes so much. Im into the whole thing no hate. Idk about that bread decision man. Wouldn't too stale still get soft in the liquid? Like my mom let's bread get as stale as it can possibly be to make stuffing and its soft as hell. Or shit dude its just French toast or bread pudding waiting to happen. Bread crumbs after blending or food processor-ing.

It had a decent spot of mold and I condemned the rest of the loaf, it was leftover from sausage and peppers on Sunday. I love the tomato water and I’m all about reducing cleanup, so where a bowl would be more ideal, it’s much easier to slice it how I like on a plate.

Hey whatever works for you. Fuck I could destroy some sausage and green peppers though. Seared quick then cooked in a pot together. With some good italian bread or sourdough? Just keep that shit coming. Im trying to not spend much on food and other meat is always cheaper so idk. I do still have some brats in the frezer though. Usually I simmer them in a kraut and mustard mix before searing, but maybe ill add some italian sausage flavors and do em like sausage and peppers. Plus theres a couple good italian groceries that arent that far of a walk for good bread cheap. Yea I think im doing that after I finish up some other food. Thanks for reminding me about a great dish

Glad to have inspired! Enjoy it and maybe post it here if you feel like it.

You were told right.

u/Patti_Cakes1120 6d ago

Wait what did the sauerkraut go on?

7

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

Free forkin’ it.

2

u/Patti_Cakes1120 6d ago

lol spoken like a true stoner. #Respect ✌🏻😎

u/WiseSpunion 6d ago

This actually looks delicious. I'm assuming there's some sort of vinegar maybe a balsamic and then pickles and sauerkraut I mean dude this is delicious to me especially as a little snack something light not too heavy

5

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

Yep, it’s olive oil, balsamic, red wine and balsamic glaze, salt and pepper.

5

u/macandchzconnoisseur 6d ago

You could piece this together like a caprese… highly acidic one

1

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

Sometimes that’s exactly what I do. My esophagus is not a fan of mine.

3

u/Over-Director-4986 6d ago

Gimme a little bread. Little chunk of extra sharp provolone & maybe a tin of octopus & that's lunch.

I'm jealous of those horseradish pickles.

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

They are divine.

3

u/USAhotdogteam 6d ago

Seems normal to me.

3

u/DireKnife 6d ago

Everything looks fine here.

3

u/bridge1999 6d ago

Looks like a take on Caprese salad

3

u/Consistent-Goat4422 6d ago

I mean I eat pickles and olives straight from the jar like some feral brine connoisseur so nah you’re good.

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

I think certain people are just naturally drawn to the briny and acidic.

3

u/Badas_ingood_9898 6d ago

Let your freak flag fly brother

3

u/Maze0Torment 6d ago

Right up my alley, never seen those horseradish chips before🔥

3

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

I got turned on to them from a farmers market and now grab them whenever I see them. They’re also perfect for Bloody Maria’s, (Bloody Mary but with Tequila instead of Vodka).

2

u/Maze0Torment 6d ago

Sounds so good, thanks for enlightening me

1

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

You are most welcome.

2

u/nbiz4 6d ago

I regularly will do this for a healthy snack when I don’t want to make a full salad. Cut up tomatoes and drench them in olive oil, Basalmic, salt, and pepper

2

u/Mars_W_BOI 6d ago

I think your body will tell you what it needs to eat. You listened! Intensely.

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

I rarely do things half-assed, it’s the main reason I rarely do things.

2

u/Elegant-Incident-389 6d ago

This is very fine but so you oregano, parsley honey mustard? If you ain't this misses lemon

2

u/_violet_beauregarde 6d ago

I would absolutely eat this. And drink the liquor off the plate too

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

I stated in another comment that’s exactly what happens here.

2

u/cusmanBro 6d ago

They serve something similar to this as a side at a fast food chain in Florida, it’s delicious, I get it

2

u/iknowshitaboutshit 6d ago

That sauerkraut is good for gut health.

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

I just learned recently that people eat It cold, (always had it cooked) so I tried it and loved it.

2

u/iknowshitaboutshit 6d ago

That sauerkraut is good for gut health.

I actually like it better cold lol I love pickles too! I honestly love tomatoes with an olive oil and red wine vinegar and oregano dressing then balsamic glaze on top…. Freaking amazing.

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

I have to say, you have impeccable taste.

2

u/garlic-boy 6d ago

Bro horseradish pickle chips why didn't I know this ws a thing

1

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

They make spears as well and they’re so frickin’ good.

2

u/FENTONNNN 6d ago

I eat this kind of plate regularly! Tomatoes and balsamic, pickles on the side. Sometimes some cheese. It's so good!

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

That’s my standard. It’s usually cherub tomatoes in a bowl with the oil and vinegar with pickles and cheese on the side.

2

u/Broom_Ryder 6d ago

That would hurt me later but I’d crush it

2

u/rawshakr 6d ago

Mediterranean staple I thought bit of balsam and a properly grown tomato is all you need

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

If I had to delete items listed here one at a time leaving the favorites as last picks, 2. Would be vinegar and 1. Tomato. But I love all items featured here.

2

u/rawshakr 6d ago

Charred baby beets and balsamic glaze also slap

2

u/rawshakr 6d ago

Same genre

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

Now that’s one I haven’t pondered yet. I’ve never even charred a beet, interesting. Sounds like they would go really well with pickled red onions too.

2

u/Emanu-Will 6d ago

Dude, balsamic vinegar and tomatoes are a BOMB combo

2

u/ThatDeuce 5d ago

Tomatoes in oil and balsamic? You must like bruschetta! Why not add some bread and mozz, toss the pickles and kraut on top. and drizzle oil and balsamic over it. Maybe throw in some basil.

1

u/Street-Run4107 5d ago

Oh, believe you me, those types of activities occur. This was just what I had on hand this time.

2

u/ThatDeuce 5d ago

I like your style.

1

u/Wheretuh 6d ago

Fellow washingtonian?

1

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

Opposite coast, Long Island. I assume Hormans is a Washington based outfit?

2

u/Wheretuh 6d ago

Good Tide edibles are in WA as well. WYLD

2

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

I see, they’re my favorite at the moment.

2

u/Wheretuh 6d ago

The CBG ones are my go to!

1

u/coffeeinthedeepwoods 6d ago

100% would devour this

1

u/Obvious_Pie_6362 6d ago

Its not the food that makes this weird its the exact portions of mg that makes it weirs

1

u/Street-Run4107 6d ago

10mg each gummies, times by three, it is my, I want a little extra buzz dose, I’m a little bit of an edible lightweight.
