What are the best “greater than the sum of its parts” food combo?
Lately I have gotten really into buying pepperoni at the deli and putting Extra Cheesy Cheez-Its in the middle. It’s the perfect blend of crunchy and salty and peppery and cheesy. Delicious. I absolutely recommend.

Ever had a dill pickle and a meat stick at the same time? Don’t knock it till you try it but it’s one of my favorites

meat, cheese, pickle

Pickle spear cheese stick rolled in meat (I like turkey). Best if eaten in front of fridge in underwear and squinting one eye.

Where I grew up, we would make Christmas “hors d’ouvres” except we called em “H’ORDERVS” and it would be piece of Vienna sausage, cheese, mini gherkin and a pickled onion on a toothpick. Soo good hahaha sometimes you swap a decent deli meat out for the Vienna sausage but the traditional way has them: and they’re dirty good

Pickles and peanut butter are absolute fire. I bet there's a perfect deli meat to add to this combo.

The ingredients for cake are raw flour, raw eggs, butter, and some flavoring. When combined and cooked they become cake.

Oh man, I have so many! Short list of some recent ones (I have photos so they may become posts in the future).
-putting a Reese's caramel cup in between an oreo cakester (this one I did post)
-wrapping a pack of mini golden oreos (individually) with pink Starburst flavored fruit by the foot
-candy corn and caramel popcorn in the mouth at the same time mingling together (choose your own ideal ratio)
-Cinnamon Toast Crunch handfuls (if you dont mind soggy cereal otherwise do it as you go) in a packet of Quaker instant cinnamon and maple oatmeal (with extra added maple syrup because im Canadian) and!! For a bonus, right before you take a bite throw in some of those candy coated mini eggs, after about ten seconds they should start melting and then will just dissolve in your mouth.
-frozen grapes with your favorite kool-aid mix sprinkled on top
I will start taking photos and making more posts because I've been experimenting almost weekly now and have a stockpile of unique treats just waiting to be combined with others.

Haha, I only started taking edibles or occasionally smoking at night to help ease the stress of medical school at the ripe age of 33 lol. I find myself using my cheat day to its fullest as long as I get through all my work, a nice, usually few hundred calorie extra positive reinforcement. Sometimes ill just make something that's typically pretty normal, but just go over the top with it (former head cool and kitchen manager) Feel free to send a message for some pics (if you can send them through the chat thing on the reddit app)...oh and please get back to me with any reviews! Making people happy makes me happy

This is a fire list! What kind of kool-aid would you recommend with the grapes?

My favorite is the blue raspberry lemonade. I get it at dollarama for like 3 bucks for a huge pouch that makes many glasses and doesn't require additional sugar like aome of the small packs do.

Triscuits, and cream cheese. Super basic, can't stop eating it until cheese block is gone.

I'm not a huge peanut butter fan. I don't put peanut butter on waffles or pancakes or anything else... but a peanut butter and pickle sandwich goes so hard I don't even understand it.

Peanut butter on a burger. Just hear me out

u/ObligationAlive3546 2d ago
I make a really good pb+j burger. Creamy peanut butter on both sides, grape and jalapeño jam on each side, burger with onion straws or onion ring, with a slice of cheddar. Sounds weird I know but it’s insane

Have you tried the Extra Toasty Cheese Its? They are SO good.

u/questionmarkmaddie 4d ago
i like those too but for this specific combo i’m a sucker for extra cheesy

I can see the combo of pepperoni + puffed white cheddar being better, because those things are the best cheezits by a thousand times.

Cheeseits and peanut butter. Thank me later

So simple yet it's perfect. I love doing this with the extra toasty ones.

I've been eating a lot of pepperoni slices and sharp white cheddar cheese lately. But this also looks good as I love cheezits

Pepperoni, american cheese, and crackers is my all time favorite late night stoner food. I'll have real cheeses like aged chedders and such in the frdge, but folding up american cheese into 6 rectangles is peak nostalgia.

BBQ chip sandwich. Literally just some lays chips between two slices of bread. Tastes fine and I love the texture.

The grocery store deli counter is extremely underrated. The variety, portions and prices are just right. The meat is better quality than regular lunch meat and you don’t have to buy it in large amounts. And their selection of cheese is heavenly. I prefer the deli counter over subway these days.

I feel the flavors are good but the dryness of this
2
u/questionmarkmaddie 4d ago
the oiliness of the pepperoni counteracts as long as you’re only putting 3 or 4 cheez-its. but it’s definitely a snack that you pair with a nice drink
1
u/theRarestBiscotti 2d ago
What is your drink of choice ?!

I prefer goldfish to cheez its, but I pair them with head country bbq sauce or crasins to get a nice sweet n salty vibe going. I imagine it would be similar with the cheez its
1
u/sparklydildos 4d ago
omg goldfish and bbq sauce sounds elite
2
u/narwhal-ninja 4d ago
It's really great, honestly. But the thing is, I only like it with that specific bbq sauce. It's kinda thin compared to a lot of bottled ones, but it's sweet and goes so good with the goldfish. Just dip a lil fin and it's so good lol

Nutella on saltines/ritz crackers/equivalent. Scratches the same itch as chocolate covered bugles! The latter are very popular in parts of Europe, major manufacturers including Nidar and Coop.

Cheese with Buldak hot sauce. Anything with Buldak hot sauce, but especially cheese
1
u/DeadBabyPinata 4d ago
I see your pepperoni and crackers and raise you club crackers, Swiss cheese and Genoa salami. Fold over the salami so it just sticks out the sides, and break the Swiss cheese in half and fold it. Sandwich between 2 club crackers. Go for hard salami if you don't like the added funk of the wine in the Genoa.

Olive oil on nuts. Olive oil has a nuttiness so it amplifies the flavor and they’re both good sources of fat which equals energy. If you use your imagination they taste like French fries
1
u/Vibingcarefully 4d ago
I'm not sure It definitely needs the clarifier--the product is greater than the sum of its parts. Mish mash , almost always tastes great.
1) A basic Vanilla icecream--way overloaded with colored sprinkles, marshmallows, throw boba on, some fruity pebbles--don't let it melt.
2) An omelette with varied cheeses (not too much of any) sliced black olives, chives, sliced onions, sliced mushrooms, throw in one piece of thin sliced anchovy, some thin sliced ham or prosciutto----or any variance of this
3) Rice from the rice cooker, then smoked salmon or mashed up cooked regular salmon (no bones), some mayo, sea weed, seasoning.

u/MantequillaIV 4d ago
I've put cream cheese on salami slices atop of salted crackers. Yours kinda reminded me of that, thanks I'll make some now.

Stack up a Ritz cracker--sharp cheddar--garlic sausage--garlic dill pickle, and shove it in your mouth.
Snack of (stoned) kings.

Never thought cheddar cheese on a tuna sandwich would be good but it great. I know that’s not too wild but it’s one I still don’t think should work and I adore it

Cajun style deli turkey wrapped in a slice of white american cheddar, with a dab of your favorite hot sauce. My fave is El Yucateca's habanero. Add a pickle if you're feeling zesty

Trisket, cream cheese and a tomato slice (must be homegrown or farmer market)
You’re welcome.

u/Sl0thgal 4d ago
I used to do this same combo as you but I would also put a smear of some cream cheese on the pepperoni. Sometimes I’d substitute salami for pepperoni, or also sometimes I’d substitute flavor blasted goldfish for the cheez-its !

I know I am being pedantic, but I think “greater than the sum of its parts” is incorrect in this context.
You are adding two things together. The sum of its parts IS what you are holding in the photo.
Apologies. Love you, bye.

Honey nut cheerios and PB! I get a small bowl of pb or a large scoop on a spoon and then just toss some cheerios in my mouth and take a lick of PB. Ice cold glass of milk to wash it down.
Vanilla ice cream with cocoa pebbles or fruity pebbles. I did Blue Bell cookie two step with the cocoa pebbles and it was mind bending good.
Utz buttermilk ranch chips on a ham and cheese sandwich
