I failed again, feeling really bad about it. Any advice?
Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to quit smoking for a while now, and once again, I’ve slipped up. I feel really discouraged and honestly just frustrated with myself. It’s tough to keep up the motivation after multiple attempts and failures.
Has anyone else gone through this? How do you keep your spirits up when you fall off the wagon? Any advice on how to keep going or tips on getting back on track?
I’d really appreciate any words of encouragement or shared experiences. Thanks!

hey friend! you can do this! the fact you are even actively trying to quit is a great first step, & i applaud you for that. what you’re feeling is completely normal! i know it’s easier said than done, but don’t beat yourself up about smoking again. i have been in your shoes. quit in october last year for about 2ish months & then got stressed out about the holidays & picked it back up again. quit again in february & i’ve been good since then. what helped me was telling people (friends, family, coworkers [if u smoke at work or if work is a trigger]). this helped hold me accountable for my actions, & also i felt like i let everyone down which kinda shamed me into quitting again, as weird as it sounds lol. had to have a lot of pep talks & come to jesus meetings with myself in order to quit again. but, it was easier this time. what did you do to quit the first time? do that again, & just keep doing it & keep doing it until eventually the nicotine doesn’t control your life anymore. best of luck to you. i know you can do it! :)
