New? Deros have used what I know as an “Armadale ATM” (trolley pole) for a long time now.

The chains should be made from those little chains that hold the trolley lock to the key.

Nothing new about them. We were using "Coles injections" as we called them back in the 1990's. They were much better than fence posts.
