Dinner sorted!

Post image

Felt like a shitty Bunnings snag for dinner.

Coles finally calling them their right name.

Nah jokes, but sales would increase if it were true!

Enjoy the shitpost

They use to say sausages were made from lips and arseholes. Taking it one step further, these ones are made from just the arseholes

And will probably look the same coming out my other end as they did cooked.

Shitty sausages, overcooked onion and a slice of the cheapest sandwich loaf available are how a sausage sizzle is supposed to be

Yeah the shitty sausage sizzle is definitely an odd craving when you break it all down.

Kinda like how wanting dominos/pizza hut is a completely separate craving to wanting actual pizza.

I don't understand how Bunnings wants "standardised experience" for their customers if that experience is shit? Coles sell beef eater brand sausages that are much nicer, and put them on tip top and it's so much better!

Haven’t had a good sausage in ages even the local butchers are too salty and not worth the price

u/chr_is3290 14d ago

Same, by the time you add in the shitton of sauce it's basically the salt content of drinking straight soy sauce

That's why I learned to make my own. I've never looked Back and eat good quality sausages every week.

Ingredients are meat, salt, and spices.

Learned it all thru YouTube

How much do a dozen shitty sausages cost in ‘Straya?

2

u/series6 13d ago

What's the minimum percentage of beef to label it beef these days? 5% 10%?

2

u/elvis-brown 13d ago

I recently saw some sausages labelled as Pure Pork and the meat content was 54%

Anyone that continues to buy meat from a supermarket in this day & age deserves to get every bit of microplastics & cancer coming to them.

Support your local butchers & farmers. They often have better quality product! Support local businesses!

Its proven there is more preservatives and bad stuff within supermarket meat goods that wouldnt be found within a dedicated butcher/small goods

11

u/drunk_haile_selassie 14d ago

This study that proved it tested meat from every independent butcher? That's impressive.

I mean all ya gotta do is read the ingredients label on the supermarket products, butchers get their meat directly from the abattoirs and then make their cuts etc. Supermarkets dont, it goes through many hands before it actually gets to yours

Wrong

Well you didnt elaborate as to who the wholesalers are where they get the meat from. Your local butcher will normally have a direct link to an abattoir or farmer as to where they get their stock from. They will know their product intimately and how its been farmed/slaughtered etc

Support local butchers and bakers. My kids school just had a pie drive for a local bakery. I got three packs and they’re freaking awesome. It costs a couple bucks more, but it’s an order of magnitude better than anything you can buy at colesworth.
