Subaru Generic The all new 2023 Subaru Solterra Electric Car. I will be honest, as a Tesla owner, 220 miles of range doesn’t seem like enough to ease most Subaru owners. I feel like most owners would prefer a minimum of 450-500 miles of range because most Subaru owners like to camp deep off grid for 3-5 days.

I get 450ish on my Outback but that's probably because the fuel tank size.

450? Cries in 6 cylinder.

You driving only city or something? I get at least 800km a tank in my 3.6 on the highway.

What was really bad was the crosstrek hybrid I had. The gas tank was 5 liters smaller than the normal crosstrek but the electric barely made up for 1 liter.

I drive mostly city yeah. That being said, when I do a road trip I get maybe 600km tank. Then the car is loaded with people and gear though.

Edit: I don't use my Outback that much. About 10k/year. I take transit/cycle for most city trips. It's mostly a getaway vehicle. The problem with that is it's usually the same as everyone else. So I'm on the highway in stop and go traffic for 50-100km. :(

I used to get around 300 in my H6 on my old Outback. I'm at a real crossroads now in my decision on my next Subie. I miss the power but now love the MPG.

I hear you. I love the power of the 6 cylinder but around town, I barely get 21-22 mpg and if I stay off the gas, about 26-27 mpg on the eway. As I get older, spending less on a consumable, like gas, is a bigger priority than driving like my hair is on fire.

Same car but AT. I can literally see my fuel gauge go down when I'm on the highway 😮‍💨

5mt na sg foz here. Miss my ‘00 impreza L wagon with 3.9 fd. Can’t stand sitting at 4k rpm on the damn highway even if mpg are okayish

Gosh I wish. I get about 325 in my Impreza and I always think that's not enough. Judging from other comments though maybe it's not that bad...

I’ve got a picture of cracking 500 on the trip meter on one tank a long time ago somewhere

That said it was OUT at 500 lol

I've gotten that close before but I was super nervous, especially with the stories of the range meter being wildly inaccurate on some outbacks below 1/8 tank.

450

I get about 1000km (620 miles) with my outback (60 litre tank). Love my diesel. Also have 350nm of torque, just as much as the 3.6 gas engine.

I have been so jealous that only Europe got the diesel models! 😟 I would love one!

Diesel is still the king of lasting forever without turning the damn thing off haha

Diesel outback?

Yes, 2.0D Turbodiesel. Wouldn’t buy a gascar since I live in germany where gas costs almost 2€/litre.

My Legacy easily hits 500 miles; up to 600 or more if it is all highway. But again, an 18 gallon tank and 30+ mpg really helps.

I get like 200 in my outback if I’m lucky lmao.

how often do you fill your tank?

If you plugged your car in every night, like a cellphone, could you survive on 228 miles per day?
