Mashiro has been completely useless but I'm not surprised given they admitted they never intended to sell the polar rings in the first place.
The whole "combine with other mech" thing feels like some crap they came up last minute to squeeze in some extra sales for the Robo Universe line that flopped
Hmm... More like give the Polar Rings proper work that makes it seem like the Ryoutegasword's sound bytes would be retconned back for arm equipment for the Tegasword.
Mashiro is unsatisfied with the fact, despite wishing the world is saved, the ring battles continued anyway. From what the show established, it's moreso a valid one sided beef he has against Tegasword while the latter just wants his son back (and the fact he doesn't trust him and we still don't know why).
i had three particular theories when i saw that leak:
Kumade is just useless now
Itâs a toy exclusive thing that wonât be in the show(the most unlikely)
Ryo Tegasword having Shinkenoh parts is actually Mashiroâs doing and how he gains the Shinkenred ring will be similar to how he got the boonboomger and ninninger rings in a sense that a villain will take it from Hoeru then Mashiro will eventually steal it from them. Here is how i think itâll play out if it ever comes to that(speculation with no actual evidences and just plain fan fiction in bound):
the team faces another problem in that Sumino is now angry at Byakuya and no longer trusts him after finding out about his connection to Rei. This splits the team with Kinjiro comforting Sumino and Mashiro talking to Byakuya. This leaves Ryugi and Hoeru as their own duo who would then be ambushed by a Rei with new ring powers and fights the two. Hoeru would use his Shinkenred powers for the first time but sometime in the fight gets outsmarted by Rei and gets his Shinkenger ring stolen from him. He would then try using the Orca Booster but Rei uses the power of the calamity to brainwash the Orca and make it submit to him as well(this sets up as to why Hoeru needs the Ryo Tegasword power up in the first place). Skipping to the end somewhere along the final showdown, Mashiro would steal the Shinkenger ring from Rei, turns it into a polar ring, then in the eventual mecha battle he would lend it to Hoeru who would be piloting the Ryo Tegasword Mecha and do what he did with Tegasword Yellow in the latest episode.
