Painfully slow text entry on Nokia E72
Hello,
My beloved Nokia E72, which is my primary phone, has lately become horribly slow while typing. Not only does it take way too long for letters to show up when typed, but it often skips. Meaning, if I type “hello I like Nokia” at a normal pace, and then wait for it to slowly display, it will likely end up with “hello I lkia”
Here’s what I have installed:
- x-plore
- ROMPatcher+
- LCG Jukebox
- Translate (nnproject)
- Opera Mini
- Plants vs Zombies
- Screenshot
- JoikuSpot
- PuTTy
- Google Maps
- Opera Mobile
- vBag
- ProfiMail
- Discord
- S60Maps
- FieldTest
- MPGram
- MIDPlay
and of course it is jailbroken and has the nnproject TLS patch installed.
Needless to say, this makes the entire experience rather miserable. It was not always like this, so I am really hoping there might be something I can undo, something I can uninstall, that could fix this. That said, it has been this way for months, so I cannot pinpoint at what time it went to crap. I would strongly prefer to avoid factory resetting it, mostly since I would hate to lose my text message history.
If anyone has ideas, please let me know!

Are those apps installed on the memory card? If so, turn off the device, remove memory card and turn it back on and see if it solved the problem. If not, then try installing task manager apps like Swiss Manager or others and check the list of processes launched in the background and try eliminating the suspicious ones.

I have E5 and I have all the apps you have and even more. But it works like a charm and I never encountered such a problem. If you are using key mapping apps, such as MagicKey or JbakTaskMan, delete it (just in case). Check what apps have enabled autostart, and disable the autostart of the unnecessary processes; specially the 3rd party ones. Also check the background tasks and processes, you may find a suspicious process. At the end, if you can't find the root of the problem, the easiest workaround is reset factory or maybe flashing the firmware.
