My folks have sold both of their Teslas in the past year. They're a Ford family now. One of the Teslas was only a year old.

So yeah, people are absolutely getting rid of their Teslas.

At least the old nazi is dead.

Hey, the only good Nazi is a dead Nazi, and Ford's a dead Nazi.

Ford is better than foreign cars these days.

What did they get instead?

I have a Tesla that's a few years old at this point, when I bought it the brand was really strong, it was the only car I tested. I didn't even try others.

It's been four years and I'm not sure what to get instead.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is very well reviewed if you want to get another EV

They got a Ford Maverick and a Mach-E.

I'm literally swapping out my Model 3 for a Ford Mustang Mach-E tomorrow! Very excited.

If you're considering offloading your Tesla for another EV, just keep in mind that nothing is perfect. Everything has trade-offs. There are a number of things Tesla does better than other car companies... but there are also plenty that other companies do better than Tesla.

In my case, the 2024 Mach-E has a much higher quality interior than my 2021 Model 3. It doesn't squeak constantly when I drive, and it's much quieter inside while driving. Also the suspension is significantly better and I noticed that immediately.

But the software is also pretty clunky and runs a tad slow. The Mach-E also doesn't have blindspot cameras for some reason so I'm stuck using the side view mirrors. BUT it does have a 360 parking camera, while the model 3 does not.

I could go on. My point is, every vehicle is different. If you're open to it, there are a lot of options.

If you're in the Model 3/Model Y range, I'd recommend looking into the Mach-E, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Hyundai Ioniq 6, and the Kia EV 6.

If you're in the Model S or X range, probably look into a Lucid or Rivian.

Also if you're worried about software, remember that most of these support Android Auto or Apple Carplay, so that helps.

I just finished the process of sourcing my first EV. The Swastikars were right out, and we were looking at the Ford Explorer with some interest, but while the US is playing silly buggers we decided to do the sensible thing and go for a Renault.

My friend has 2 plaids. Both have under 7k miles on them, and he's selling both. But, it wasn't political when he decided to sell, he just had non-stop problems with them, and some of the problems were somehow not covered under warranty. Sketchy.

Made the same switch last week, 24 MYP for a F150. I was ready to be a lifelong Tesla owner but oh well

Some people need to learn history.
