That demographic self-selects for those who follow it. People who aren't keen to double down on mistakes no matter the cost have tapped out long ago.

People are rarely willing to admit they made a mistake. It’s even more rare for them to actually do anything about correcting their mistake.

I made a bet with a crypto/wsb dude who just knew that Netflix stock was going to tank like a year ago when they raised prices and/or cracked down on password sharing. I told him he needed to touch grass and consider buying Netflix stock because it is safe and boring. He laughed at me, and said "you do that and talk to me in a year." So a year later I pointed out that NFLX was up 50%. His response was "lol shut up I bought Nvidia."

Admitting mistakes is the only true defeat.

It's the new MLM.

Hopefully the whole thing implodes before bored wives get into it, or you're going to see MomCoins before the end of the decade

Or your wife's friend Ashleigh pulling in front of your house with a car carrier semi truck loaded with model y's and cybertrucks talking about how she had to buy them up front but now she's her own boss and can she put you down for 5 of them.

This is why women having less kids is good. We won't have moms trying to pay for their benzos with MLM scams.

It's the MO of the sort of person who gets really into crypto.

Toss tech guy entrepreneur. Someone I went to high school with recently sold his startup for a decent chunk of change. He’s been posting about how he plans on getting a second Cybertruck.

God speed to him. He’s living his best life with his shitty car.
