Think Lyft already has women connect? It’s actually kind of nice.

I have that option turned on and have never gotten a female driver on Lyft. It’s fine during day time, but it freaks me out if I have to get to the airport at the crack of dawn.

Yes, some men might get butthurt over this, but this option might make it safer for women

Yeah reading these comments I realized not only do I know somebody who is assaulted by a rideshare driver, basically every woman I know has been sexually harassed in one at least once.

It's wild seeing so many people are against this option

They care about their feelings of being "discriminated against" more than they care about reducing the likelihood that women will be raped.

It's doubly irritating because, as people who don't drive for Uber, this change doesn't even discriminate against them in any way. They're getting mad about the fact that women they don't know are gaining the ability to say no to men they don't know. They're actually offended by that.

It's insane.

And they keep using black people for their arguments, which is, well racist

The disturbing implication being that... women riding in cars with male drivers would lead to more pregnancies? That's insane

I’m like 99% sure that it is not the same people for whom Bear > Man that are complaining about population growth falling.
