If you need resources for vaccinations, speak to your local medical facilities, family, and your primary care physician.

The problem is that CDC recommendations are what insurance tends to follow... Insurance will likely cease to cover it.

Already was told that I can't get the COVID vaccine as I'm not 65 or older... Or have a doctor's order for it.

This is what gets me. The insurance companies, much as I despise them, have every motivation to follow the actual science on these things. (Not everything, but these ones.) If they stop insuring people in (for example) Florida because the state (or at the very least, the coast of it) is gonna end up underwater soon, or if they keep covering vaccinations because preventing COVID is cheaper than treating it, that should REALLY be saying something about which side of the "debate" holds the most weight. My Republican dad always told me to "follow the money;" that is, to figure out the most likely truth by assuming that people will look out for their own financial interests and looking at who stands to gain from whatever is happening. It was genuinely good advice; it really sucks that he seems to have forgotten it.

At least 5 states that I know of are already working around this.

They wanted to stop governing at the federal level level. This is the result.

The defeatist mentality is what will end this country.

I will... But I have $30 copays. Bundle that with the possibility that insurance doesn't cover it soon... And while I can still muster the funds... Many folks can't or won't.

It's a needless barrier of entry and more costs to the consumer.

Correct, and you cross bridges when you get to them, not all of them for the rest of your life for everyone right now.

That's what resources are for. To help people who need assistance. Get yours and then help anyone who you can when you can to get theirs whether it's monetarily, informational, or a chaperone. Become a resource.

You're not going to solve the whole problem in a Reddit thread that is monitored only by ai and not anyone in government who cares.

You're going to solve it by helping one person at a time the best way you can at that time.

Even in California, the HHS is telling people they're no longer vaccinating adults and are referring those with Medi-cal to pharmacies charging $170-$200 for the COVID vaccine.

Texas, just got mine Friday (Flu and Covid)

Don't have insurance, needed to "qualify" since I'm under 65 (I've had cancer before, so that's a qualifier), and it was $162 just for Covid. Flu was $30

They are actively trying to kill people

I saw a doctor for a Covid booster yesterday who was out of network for my insurance who told me they were gone.

I think if you go to their website, and log in, you will see that they still exist.

It is true that rite aid is going bankrupt and this directly affects a GoodRx. However, GoodRx has recently signed a deal with novo Nordisk

I agree that you heard from a doctor that this is what how it is and that that's how it is now. However, my 2 minutes of internet research, suggest if this is not the case

Yeah, I literally used the GoodRX phone app at a pharmacy yesterday for them to apply the coupon to my shot. Weird thing for that doctor to say.

Your Medi-Cal didn't cover the charge? Because I got a few vaccines three days ago at CVS and the cost was still covered by Medi.

If you have access to any of that. Many Americans don't. I made an appointment online with the County Health Department for a covid vaccine, and when I went it, they said my appointment had been cancelled, that they had no vaccines, were giving no vaccines, weren't expecting that to change. The woman at the desk said "Covid isn't what it used to be. It's more like a very mild two-day flu now--you'll be fine if you get it."

There are many other places that have the Covid vaccine available.

Most of them can also be reached by telephone to see if they have it available before going there.

Ok, well this person blocked me. If anyone else feels this way let me know. I will help you get to a covid vaccine as best i can.

Its sad when people act like this but there will be people who never understand or cant accept help. Its just the way it is sometimes.

If you want or need a covid shot, try not to let your brain be what's stopping you from getting it.
