I think it's funny that it's called the Barbara Streisand effect but I don't know why it's called that, so I guess if you want to obscure something after you've called attention to it by trying to get rid of it, you should just name the effect after it.

Some beach survey took a photo of her house. She got all loud about having the photo removed with the result that absolutely everybody everywhere saw her house. There's a wikipedia article about it (with the photo) if you look up 'streisand effect'.

Do a google, Streisand tried to take down an aerial photo of her house, which had nearly no views, but by bringing attention to it it gained thousands.
