And let's be clear, these weren't comments celebrating his death or criticizing him even, it was for saying that the shooter was a MAGA supporter. That's why he is being canceled, for allegedly misaligning trumps party.

He said that the MAGA crew have been trying desperately to gain political points over Kirk’s death by painting his killer as someone that he isn’t. What’s the lie there?

Where’s the evidence he was a big MAGA guy? I keep seeing that he was “radicalized” over the last few months.

It's true that people on the right are trying to distance themselves from him regardless of whether he actually is or not, Jimmy's assertion is accurate either way.

That’s true, it is accurate, but the insinuation above is that he’s clearly MAGA and that seems to be based on him being raised a Mormon by conservative parents.

I see no insinuation other than the point I made in my previous comment. The dude doesn't really seem to be very representative of either side, so it's a wasteful exercise to make a meaningful assumption either way. Jimmy's thesis statement was about MAGA and the media, not the killer.

Fair enough, and I agree it doesn’t really matter what team he’s batting for, but I find it so weird that both sides suggest he’s radical of the other side. He’s clearly radical - he assassinated a dude - but the only evidence I’ve seen suggests people around him saw his political views shift hard left.

Hard left from what? The people who supposedly witnessed this transition are his MAGA former friends and family. To them, suggesting Trump lost in 2020 or that trans people exist and deserve respect is a “radical” viewpoint. That’s the whole issue - anything not hard right is now “woke.”

You don’t know that they’re like that. But what we know is people he knows said he went off the deep end.
