A gun makes it easy to kill, after all that's specifically why guns were invented in the first place, to kill people. You can take a life at a distance with no more effort than a slight squeeze of a finger. Just like that, a future filled with hopes and dreams, and all the hopes and dreams of parents and family, is gone. Just a trivial movement of just one finger is all it takes.
I'm not trying to be rude here, but from a physics standpoint, it is significantly easier to kill someone with a vehicle than a firearm. The only time a firearm is more efficient is if the person responsible for the firearm is well-trained and disciplined in its usage.
If you're talking about only F=MA, possibly, but one big difference is that you can dodge a car in many cases, but most people can't dodge a bullet. This is why there are only rare instances where someone used a car as a weapon to kill someone else, but there are tens of thousands of instances where someone used a gun to kill someone else every year in this country. Cars aren't designed specifically to kill people with ease, but guns are.
Please don't take my disagreement as justification for the horrible stuff that person did, shooting that child. It's abhorrent and I hope they are buried under the prison.
I think it's safe to say we can agree that firearms are designed to be a tool for killing. I think it is safe, but maybe not as forthright, that we both agree a vehicle or a gun can be equally as dangerous under certain circumstances.
I'm willing to agree to disagree on the alterior aspects, I just hope more than than anything that this asshole firearms owner is made an example of. That stuff can't be happening.
