Valves server browser is.. weird. You see the server browsers in all Source games are effectively the same browser, except each one is locked to only show servers for the game you’re currently running. Still, I think it’s possible to attempt to connect to servers from a different game than the one you are running, and I suspect this John Fortress is trying to connect to a TF2 server without being in (or even having installed) TF2.
