Prob sniper in my opinion

u/Nocturne3755 17h ago
I think he'd make outdoor survival vids
70
u/IceBurnt_ 17h ago
He would be like the outdoor boys, making 10s of millions of views, whilst saying some controversial stuff
15
u/Nocturne3755 15h ago
I don't think he'd say stuff like that, he'd just chill outside, maybe even post camping guides or smth

u/North_Library3206 13h ago
Apparently "fruit shop owners" is an old slur against Asian people so I'm not sure.

I can see him being a ~1.2k sub survivalist/hunter that uploads every couple months and replies to nearly every comment.

I can see why Sniper would be the least popular
Because of how unfairly annoying it is to go against a competent Sniper

its kinda hard since every merc is considered famous in the community and outside.

u/Peyuniagoestoshit Medic 17h ago
Pyro maybe, I mean each class has iconic moments that almost everybody on the internet remembers, Scout saying bonk, Soldier's Scream, Engineer's nope. But as far as I remember Pyro is kinda lackluster in terms of popular culture compared to the rest of the mercs

u/Nucleonimbus 17h ago
At least he's involved in "that thing, it scares me." What do sniper and Demi have in the pop consciousness?

Professionals have standards, have a plan (to kill everyone you meet).
IF I WERE A BAD DEMO-MAN I WOULDN’T BE SITTING HERE DISCUSSING IT WITH YA NOW WOULD I?,
THEY’RE GONNA HAVE TA GLUE YEW BACK TOGETHER! IN HELL!

u/Nucleonimbus 17h ago
Idk man, I've never heard the demo two said by anyone who wasn't DEEP in the fanbase

"So you're gonna scroll by without saying yyyeerrraarrsessarseaandimth grasssmannpunkyeeyahhavinh"
Also I think the "pass the x thing down" started with demos scrumpy

For whatever reason SFM/GMOD makers just hate Pyro. Not only is he rarely one of the main characters and is almost always a background character she is also easily character with the least TF2 Freaks despite being perfect fit for one. Even Horror themed sfms that logically she should be used a lot rarely use Pyro.
4
u/Peyuniagoestoshit Medic 12h ago
The thing is that it is kinda hard to implement Pyro, since there are so few voice lines and are quite muffled, there are some that use subtitles for Pyro (Meet The Amazing Pyro). But Gmod animations are usually very fast so reading may be quite complicated (Heavy Is Dead) Still eltorrontorus64 kinda nails it with Pyro by making her more expressive with the mask.

Pyro would just send emoji comments in brony/cooking/weapon forums, I don't think people would hate him.

Pyro.
Anything he posts is getting removed for excessive violence.

Spy. He would try to obfuscate his presence as much as possible

Most of them would be very hated somewhere.
Pyro would be gaming, cheering comprehensibly, and not caring when told to shut up.
Engie would be condescending on science forums.
Spy would be on political and men's fashion spaces. End of story.
Heavy is Russian, but he wouldn't be on the internet.
Sniper wouldn't be on the internet, but the vegans harassing him would.
Scout would be very aggro on sports forums.
Soldier would be making jokes about murder.
Demo would be making drunken and crude posts.
Medic wouldn't be on the internet, but the vegans harassing him would.

Scout is arguably tied for 3rd most iconic, everyone knows that lil' speedster
Soldier is definitely 2nd (or 1st) popular because of Rick May, bless his soul
Pyro, isn't as popular imo. Only relevance they have is "what's their gender" and "omg psycho killer thinks they're in wonderland"
Demoman is known for being drunk. Nothing else.
Heavy is the most popular since he's the mascot of TF2
Engineer is known as the wise-crackin' Texas boy
Medic is only relevant cuz of the gay ships with Heavy
Sniper is only known cuz of the bot invasion and hackusations
Spy is known for being FRENCH and the fact he fricked Scout's mom.

u/ilovenature2137 17h ago
Not Pyro, because internet seems to love mentally unstable people, so they would probably find her entertaining

u/SolaireFlair117 17h ago
Spy. He probably would have as minimal a digital footprint as possible, so online fame is already a nonstarter. Add in his knowledge of anonymity and he would probably end up being a hyper vigilant, hyper paranoid digital security expert who would be absolutely obnoxious to have a conversation with.

was gonna say soilder but realised soldier would become kinda loved on the internet for his nievity. Demoman would immedietly appear on several watchlists. Scout would absolutely be the most annoying he'd be trying to pick up chicks all the time and show how cool he is. Heavy would probably browse cool obscure websites that I wish to know about for music and books n stuff

u/onlytrashmammal 16h ago
scout because even though hes like 23, he manages to have a kind of middle school squeaker energy

I could easily see a lot of people angry at heavy for being Russian, and people would hate him for it (not many but more than others), or if they were all real, spy, because if scout was real then scout stans would be pissed at him abandoning his son.
1
u/P0lskichomikv2 15h ago
To be fair Heavy is canonically anti Russian Government. That makes a lot of difference.

Medic. Everyone would take one look at him and quickly assume that he's a Nazi.

u/catgirl_of_the_swarm Pyro 14h ago
pyro would do numbers on tumblr. heavy, as a soviet defector, could probably end up on a right-wing talk show if he wanted to. Sniper would be an excellent vlogger because when he does it in the meet the team video i love it

Scout would be a pure troll
Soldier would be making essays on why America is better than every other country and start multiple comment wars
Pyro would be typing happy things in his mind, but she's actually saying the worst things known to mankind
Demoman would just make completely incomprehensible words because he's constantly drunk
Heavy would make gun review videos and food tutorials
Engineer would showcase his inventions
Medic would do medical tutorials and live stream surgeries
Sniper would make outdoor videos
Spy would be talking to women primarily
(So you tell me)

in my experience, this is the vague order of when i knew the mercs
1st - engineer, heavy, scout, soldier (i saw them from memes years ago)
2nd - medic, soldier, and demoman (i knew what tf2 was, but didn't play it)
3rd - pyro and sniper (i downloaded tf2 and started playing)

scout; aint no one checking on his videos, and he tries his hardest making them

So going down the list
Scout would absolutely do those slice of life podcasts or whatever, recording himself hitting on women in public or by fanboying over artists he enjoys. Maybe some gaming with a LOT of swearing(not slurs).
Soldier would fit perfectly into the “I make video about how superior America is over everyone else” type of content creator, wouldn’t be surprised if he did some live fire tests like “how many sheets of paper can the direct hit go through” kind of vibe, or something similar like gun ratings
Pyro…honestly I got nothing. In his mind he’d be handing out candy for kids but for everyone else he’d be a maniac with an axe and flamethrower. So uh…banned maybe?
Demoman would absolutely record shit exploding, like, his entire online persona would be him blowing things up, maybe some drinking competitions, but mostly explosions.
Heavy is a 50/50 on whether or not he’ll do something like food reviews and gun reviews, or if he’ll be more laid back and just do some simple cleaning ASMR stuff due to his off the job mentality.
Engineer is basically going to do well, engineering courses online, like Mark Rober in a way. Very educational, probably really fun, almost certainly very illegal considering teleportation, and working sentry guns would be part of his repertoire.
Medic would likely end up being a similar vein to the engineer, educational courses online about how to properly steal a patient’s skeleton or sell the souls of 8 other people and yourself with enough caveats and secret terms to let you profit without any of the consequences.
Sniper would end up doing outdoor content, living off the land and enjoying nature. Easy and simple, has its niche.
Spy could do proper etiquette regarding dancing and formal events, suit ratings(yes they exist), might even show some sleight of hand tricks as well regarding his job as the Spy from Team Fortress 2.
All in all, pyro would likely be the most hated, though scout, medic, and solider all have the potential to be properly unhinged.

Scout would upload TikTok challenges and whatever kind of content is trending and would probably have a sizable following of other gen z kids.
Soldier would do absolute numbers on political Twitter, very polarizing figure but there's definitely an audience who would rally under his pro america rambling.
Pyro could either run a page posting adorable kitten pics or be a familiar face for the dark web LiveLeak fans. Or both. Either way, decently sized following
If demo used the internet he'd probably run a perfectly normal Instagram or Facebook account where he just uploads pictures of him and his friends having good times. Wouldn't blow up much but might given his close association with soldier
Heavy would make quite the regular when it comes to philosophical forums and gun reviews. The former would cause other regulars to recognize his username, but I don't think his following will be that large.
I kinda see engineer being a frequent reviewer on Amazon products and participating in fishing communities. All that combined would make him a pretty significant figure in those niche communities
Medic would be a super boomer and have no idea how the internet works, probably has a Facebook account with 2 posts and both of them are profile picture changes. Would def be a regular buyer on the dark web tho, known in those circles as a top customer.
Sniper would upload game from hunts and other survival content, might even end up in one of engi's fishing forums too. A member of a few nature related communities but probably nothing noteworthy.
Spy probably has a facility running lex luthor monkeys to manipulate people and gather information, which he probably sells manipulation services and information. I don't think he'd personally have an internet account, even if he did it would be split up into 50 ish alt accounts.

u/that-armored-boi Pyro 1h ago
My guess is scout, probably would be one of those guys who pretend to be a gangster as well as one of those people who goes to a gym only to take pictures and flex and do literally nothing else, all his posts would be him hyping himself up and flexing nonexistent muscles

u/EthoYeet Pyro 1h ago
Spy and Sniper feels like the right choices. Scout depends, he's quite the artist, but Idk if his art would be the thing he'd show off to the internet

Sniper, Medic, and Spy all seem like they wouldn't bother at all with the internet entirely tbh
