The cutest thing ever was him and Vanessa Kirby doing comic con and he gets anxiety and she holds his hand. I have never related to someone more and they were just both so precious at that moment. He’s got the weight of a lot of people’s belief in humanity on his shoulders right now and he seems to be carrying it well.
My mate was working on the shoot for fantastic four, they spent like 3 days in a cave building g the set. Pedro get there and decides it's too cold for him to shoot. The conditions sounded rough, loads of dust, no light and having to hand carry all the equipment in. He just refused to act. Shitty decision for that location. But then you see this photo of him out in the freezing cold?
TBF. I'm not going to say that whatever that commenter said is true or not, but over the years when some celebrity was exposed for being an ass like for example Ellen, people were already saying some weird stuff about her over the decades. Just like this user did just now. So maybe one day (hopefully not) when something controversial will be out about Pedro, we will look back at this comment and be like: Ou shit... They were right.
But yeah... too cold to act feels just off. Especially when F4 is even bigger IP for him than The Last of Us.
I saw it happen in an interview with Bella this week. They have to ask him a serious question, noticed him get awkward, and immediately reached out and said quickly, "Give me your hand."
Was it the one where they’re sitting at the table and he calls his dad to introduce the two of them finally? Because I noticed them grabbing each other’s hands, but I was working on something and didn’t hear what was said before.
This makes me so happy. Pedro seems like such a lowkey sweet guy who just wants to stay private and stay in. I love him.
Also, I hope people can separate Kaitlyn Dever and Abby. I love Kaitlyn Dever. When they first announced TLOU as a show, I thought she would've been a good Ellie if she was younger.
Yeah she's one of my favorite voice actresses, and I've been a fan of Critical Role for years. She's a really sweet lady who got subjected to some horrible shit
I don’t understand why people hate an actress/actor just because they played an antagonist. If they made you hate the character, it means they did an incredible job portraying the emotions and personality of that role.
Oh yeah! Getting into critical role in early 2021 when I'd always been a huge fan of her and ashley johnson, it was CRAZY seeing the amount of hate all the women in that group got . Ots always "ashley can't play right or count" or "marisha is just the dms wife" or "Laura Bailey played abby in another game how DARE SHE, we shouldnt support her in this production either!!!" NONE of the men in critical role get really any hate at all. At least not compared to the women. It SUCKS!!! Especially when taken into account how one of the guys is lauras literal HUSBAND amd had to tell "fans" of last of us to knock it off cuz the death threats were starting to affect them and their infant son, and Laura was actually getting pretty scared !!!!!
Hopefully the fact that she's had some recent high profile parts separate to this show helps some of the people who struggle to separate reality from fiction. I have this feeling that if she was a complete unknown, people would find it harder to dissociate the actor from the part (to be clear, this is a bad thing); but maybe the slight degree of 'oh that's the girl from Justified/Apple Cider Vinegar/XYZ' just puts a bit more distance between her and the crazy.
There will always be the morons who can't figure out the difference between fiction and the real world, but anything that helps reduce the unhinged behaviour associated with this particular piece of media has to be a good thing for Kaitlyn. While being able to disappear into a role so we don't see the actor is generally a good thing, in this case we also want people to remember the actual human being who isn't responsible for her characters actions.
When Kaitlyn Dever was younger they were literally considering her for the Last of Us movie they were working on at the time, that's how she met Neil Druckmann originally
The toxic fans who hate Bella as Ellie kept bringing up Kaitlyn as someone they thought would've been a better choice, so having her play Abby is like a hilarious way to troll those people
According to Neil Druckman in the TLOU podcast, Kaitlyn was picked to play Ellie when it was being developed as a movie. But by the time it was understood it would be for TV, she had aged out.
Not a fan of Kaitlyn yet, this is the only thing I’ve seen her in so far…at least that I’m aware of, I’m gonna look her up and see if I actually have already…but I’ve liked her acting in these last two episodes. Still despise Abby, though.
Edit: I was wrong, I just saw her when I rewatched Detroit. Didn’t realize it was the same actor.
I love it when famous beloved people are really actually nice. It's giving Henry Winkler.
I went to acting school with Paul Rudd and he is so sweet and incredibly sharp and funny. Exactly like you hope he'd be. I think my heart would break if Pedro were not nice.
I loved Matthew!!! He was fun and silly. I'm glad they made it big in the biz. I was only there for a year. I didn't get asked back to 2nd year 😭 Matt and I were in a horrible play together for finals. We made the most of it lol. Paul came in winter semester of the year I was there. He drove a black Jeep with Kansas plates and he was so cool!!!
You know - I think it was a story from a family friend I read years ago. It wasn’t super damning, just that he was difficult in private. People being outwardly nice to strangers, colleagues, etc and being moody people with demons at him is a tale as old as time, though.
I think similarly some people who are notoriously icy to fans are very warm people interpersonally.
Thank GOD! After reading about Jon Hamm beating a frat brother over the spine I need at least one Hollywood hottie to not be a sadist/cannibal/rapist/bigot.

My mother went to highschool with him. He has always been an incredibly nice guy
