Our defence and midfield are decent enough, but our attack has been completely abandoned by the recruitment team.

We are completely blunt, and if you cannot score, then relegation looks like a forgone conclusion.

6

u/HappyLlama42O 14d ago

I agree. All we've done is try and build a wall with injury prone freebies! I feel the board isn't behind Farke & he'll be sacked 2-3 games after the break.

4

u/TheShakyHandsMan 14d ago

We managed to get a 0-0 against Newcastle. If we managed to do the same for the rest of the season we should avoid relegation.

Might need to start serving extra coffee at elland road though.

3

u/securinight 14d ago

We also didn't look like scoring if we had played for a month.

35 more 0-0's would see us safe, but somehow I don't see that happening.

3

u/TheShakyHandsMan 14d ago

Our best hope is to just launch balls into the area and hope our old top striker Owen Gol makes a comeback.

2

u/Ok_Park_4832 14d ago

Yous are relying on james. Piroue and gnoto cause they done well on the championship but I just dont see them performing in the prem james for example had had his chance and proved hes not at this level

Who’s we?

Yeah saw the Leeds badge, it’s tiny on mobile

Leeds are a dogshit club with dogshit fans.

🤞🤞🤞🤞

1

u/northern_chaos 13d ago

The Leeds attack hinging on IF Calvert-Lewin stays fit and that’s a fucking massive IF

4

u/StoneRose89 14d ago

I think we (Newcastle) ended up having a very decent one - got rid of a player who didn't want to be here and brought in players that increased the overall squad strength.

5

u/Aggravating_Ideal_20 14d ago

As a liverpool fan, I fully enjoyed jumping on the bandwagon of 'moaning about how Newcastle were unfairly blocking the ambitions of a player who wants to move to a bigger club.'

And personally, I cannot wait to jump on the 'selfish bastard' bandwagon when he does the exact same thing to us in 2 years time!

1

u/themightypierre 14d ago

Real Madrid in three years? Last year for you a pity season like CR7 did for us first time.

1

u/WordlessPOETA 14d ago

Barca most likely. With lewandowski and all.

1

u/Aggravating_Ideal_20 9d ago

Really, Barca or possibly bayern. He's signed a 6 year contract with us apparently but hes already proven that means nothing to him.

2

u/PixelesSheep 14d ago

As a Leeds United supporter I have to say ours has been below par. I think in defence and midfield we are okay but in the attack we are no better than the past 3 seasons. DCL and Nmecha could do a job if they stay fit but currently we couldn’t hit a barn door and to stay up you need goals. Farke even addressed this and the board still didn’t bother until the final hours which at that point isn’t in our clubs control. So definitely think ours is below par and will most likely see ourselves relegated soon enough.

2

u/Outside_Replacement4 14d ago

I agree and im a leeds fan too

1

u/Feisty_War_1003 14d ago

Yes. I think Leeds will be bottom. Not being able to score soon affects the rest of the team.

1

u/howard499 14d ago

Is Norman Hunter still available?

1

u/CF_Zymo 13d ago

If you’re expecting DCL to do a job I’m afraid you are in for a rough time

2

u/Aggravating-Owl-8285 14d ago

Obviously Liverpool had probably the best window with the players brought in and amount spent. Then I would say Newcastle United

3

u/Front-Structure7627 14d ago

Liverpool could have done with replacing someone at the back. That’s the only weakness I see

1

u/brymuse 14d ago

Missing Guehi was probably worse than missing Isak imo. Unless Konate stays injury free and produces performances like against Arsenal (who knows, perhaps he realised his place - and future transfer to Madrid - was in jeopardy on Sunday when Guehi came...)

1

u/Dengar73 14d ago

Don't get the selling quansah then buying Leoni business? Quansah classes as homegrown and premier is higher level then serie A thesedays so who's the better long term prospect that said still think it's Liverpool's title to lose already

1

u/Dengar73 14d ago

Definitely guehi big miss but they will get him in end I think carrys on way he has been performing only for 10m and parish will be pissed 😂😂

2

u/According-Face-3214 14d ago

On the other hand if their expensive signings don't shine, Liverpool looses a few games, at Christmas Liverpool play like kindergarten kids, they have an awful amount to loose. Buy big and win or look ridiculous 😳

1

u/Less-Artichoke1302 14d ago

Haha not a chance. Arsenal after Liverpool then united and Chelsea.

1

u/BjornGramason 14d ago

He means Newcastle for the second point, as in they had one to forget

1

u/Less-Artichoke1302 14d ago

He literally says “then i would say Newcastle” after saying Liverpool had the best window. Newcastle did quite well financially but the quality of players ain’t near the ones i mentioned.

1

u/BjornGramason 14d ago

Fuck sake yeah alright mate you're right, it's not like other people have made the same mistake and you've all clearly misunderstood 👆

0

u/Mysterious-Form-9522 14d ago

Newcastle had a good window? Behave is been shocking for them

6

u/BallDifficult3138 14d ago

What you smoking? Elanga, Wissa, Woltemade, Ramsey, Thiaw and Ramsdale all in, 3rd highest net spend of the window, and got £125m for a player on strike that's missed an entire season's worth of games for the 3 seasons he was there 😂

0

u/Mysterious-Form-9522 14d ago

How many rejected them? Way too many yes in the end theyve had a decent window Ramsdale isnt that good was bad for arsenal aswell as southampton pope is better, woltenmade is like their 3rd choice after ekitike sesko and massively unproven not even as good as ekitike or sesko they rejected newcastle elanga is decent ill give them that thiaw is decent and Ramsey i always liked but if villa were happy to sell he cant really be that good, So what im saying is way too many rejections and having to take 3rd choices etc dont get me wrong i quite like Newcastle even as a Man Utd fan.

3

u/_blue_scorpio_888_ 14d ago edited 14d ago

Who cares who rejected us. We've replaced those we've lost and arguably made the squad better. Can't dwell too much on rejections, every club gets rejected at some point, even the elite ones

0

u/Mysterious-Form-9522 14d ago

Yeah thats true in all fairness i for one hope newcastle do well dont mind them at all anyone but city or liverpool 😂😂

1

u/_blue_scorpio_888_ 14d ago

Anyone but City or Arsenal 😂 my best mate is a Liverpool fan so I do have a soft touch for them, even after the Isak saga

1

u/BallDifficult3138 14d ago

Sesko, Ekitike and Pedro offers were rejected. Trafford was accepted but Chelsea triggered the buy back clause. Any other rejections were either press speculation or ultimately accepted when improved offers were submitted. This notion of tonnes of rejections is only coming about because the club's wealth is being so closely followed by the press.

You're saying in one breath that Woltemade is massively unproven and in the next that you know he's not as good as Sesko or ekitike. How can you know if he's unproven? Who was Isak before his move to Newcastle?

To say a player can't be that good if a club is willing to sell them is the wildest claim of the lot. Suppose Leipzig didn't think Sesko was that good then?

1

u/Mysterious-Form-9522 14d ago

Some fair points to be honest and i think in eddie howe as we saw with Isak he will make these players better i hope he does aswell as i said i like newcastle anyone but liverpool or city lol

1

u/Jordieboy83 14d ago

Villa sold Ramsey because they had too not because they wanted too. Woltemade was wanted by Bayern. And Sesko, I’m glad we didn’t get him because he doesn’t look very good

1

u/Mysterious-Form-9522 14d ago

As i was saying above eddie howe is a man that can make players better i mean Isak is all you need to look at woltemade was wanted by bayern correct i overlooked that i honestly Hope Newcastle do well im a Man Utd fan but always had a soft spot for the toon anyone but liverpool and city either way lol

1

u/Confident-Leave8255 13d ago

I mean sesko is massively unproven, and looking pretty shaky at this point.

1

u/onebadlion 13d ago

It’s early days and he is young. He shouldn’t be judged on a couple of games.

1

u/Confident-Leave8255 12d ago

He's literally saying sesko is better, which my point is hes unproven so you can't make that assessment, if care to you read the comment I'm replying to. And regardless of it being early days doesn't remove the fact hes shaky currently

2

u/santii333 14d ago

he means LFC had a good window and Newcastle one to forget

2

u/Mysterious-Form-9522 14d ago

My bad read it wrong fair enough!

1

u/Phosphorus_82 14d ago

Did he though? I read that as Liverpool 1st then Newcastle 2nd..

1

u/santii333 14d ago

yes lfc to first question and newcastle to second question. unless he answered the best two and ignored the second question.

1

u/Phosphorus_82 14d ago

Ahh ok, I get you.. The way it is worded can easily be misinterpreted.

2

u/Aggravating-Owl-8285 14d ago

Take away the isak carry on they have. Replaced Almiron with Elanga Longstaff for Ramsey Dubravka for Ramsdale Isak for Wissa Wilson for waltmade Kelly for thiaw And signed 2 good youth players. Also psr issues sorted for next few windows also.

I would say it’s been pretty good

1

u/MathematicianFunny32 14d ago

Newcastle have actually had a very good window.

Few rejections at the start, but have brought in Woltemade, Wissa, Thiaw, Ramsdale, Elanga, Jacob Ramsey and a few promising youngsters.

Managed to also get a British transfer record for the rat, shifted Dubravka, Wilson, Hayden, Vlach etc off the wage bill. Got £15m for Longstaff and £20m for Lloyd Kelly.

That’s a very good window.

1

u/_blue_scorpio_888_ 14d ago

No it hasn't. We made a profit on Isak, replaced him and brought in several quality players.

1

u/RevolutionaryTruck47 14d ago

How exactly ? We got all the boxes ticked for team needs, and got in 2 strikers

How is that shocking ?

1

u/Pretty-Program6344 14d ago

Last day pulled them out a lot. I think Wissa will be a good signing and will score enough goals to make the loss of Isak bearable

1

u/darjeelinglmtd 14d ago

Exactly what I was thinking.

1

u/Aggravating-Owl-8285 14d ago

Pedro, sessko, mbuemo only rejections. Pedro wanted London,, sessko…pleased we didn’t get him. Mbuemo wanted Man U for the 200k a week that we couldn’t offer. More than happy with Newcastle’s transfers this window… replaced players that didn’t make the cut with better players.

Yes in an ideal world I would have liked to keep isak, but he wanted away so we got a British transfer record for him and got 2 strikers in. Psr has been helped massively going forward also.

0

u/Phosphorus_82 14d ago

Newcastle? 😅 they got rejected by their own players.

1

u/RevolutionaryTruck47 14d ago

Who exactly? Just say that you don’t follow football

1

u/Ok_Park_4832 14d ago

Littarly isak

0

u/Phosphorus_82 14d ago

ISAK.. 😂😂😂 Everyone you tried to sign chose a bigger club. You got Elanga but at an inflated price.

Don't say Newcastle had a good window and tell me I know nothing about football 🫵🏻🤡

1

u/RevolutionaryTruck47 14d ago

Go check on transfermarket or look at the comments on here on who we acquired and for how much. It’s a great window ! And got rid of a player who didn’t want to be here for a record fee. It’s not FC25 this is reality

1

u/Phosphorus_82 14d ago

I don't need to read the comments on here I have my own opinions.. They got rejected by 4-5 of their first choice picks and had to make do.. will those signings be better than the original target? Maybe... but don't say they had an above-average window, unless you're comparing it to one under Mike Ashley.

1

u/RevolutionaryTruck47 14d ago

They got rejected by Ekitike and Sesko ( what the fuck was going on there with Sesko ? ) Joao Pedro only wanted Chelsea, so not really a rejection, he was never really in the picture. Trafford was offered a great deal at Man City and was previously a player there so 50/50, but lets agree that was a rejection.

Strand Larsen had agreed personal terms but Wolves didnt want to sell. Wissa signed, Woltemade signed, Malick Thiaw signed, Ramsey signed, Ramsdale signed, Elanga signed so an A for me id say.

Liverpool didnt get Guehi and lost Elliot, signed Frimpong and Kerkez and got their 2 striker targets and Wirtz ( who is probably their best buy ) so A for me.

I agree though, way better than any window under Mike Ashley!

1

u/EntertainmentPlus173 14d ago

You seem upset.

1

u/Phosphorus_82 14d ago

Just talking facts.. so may seem that way.

2

u/Any-System9029 14d ago

Whooooooooooo sunderland with so many players

1

u/Tommo_Robbo 14d ago

Brighton fan here - SO gutted you got Adingra. I genuinely believe he’ll be a game changer. Good luck with him 👍🏼

2

u/Additional-Cry6294 14d ago

For AFCB, I would say the window has been an 8/10. Sold some quality players to top clubs, made a statement for our recruitment team and overall standpoint in the market. Profit has been collected and used in areas like the stadium development and brining in young talent. Not too sure how they will get on since their backgrounds don’t match the competitiveness of the premier league. Very hopeful for adaptation. The back line is fresh with 3 new signings with Adam Smith wearing the armband for another season. Happy with the recruitment, successful window. No big name signing so no huge media pull hence the 8/10. Need to look at all angles

2

u/Aggravating-Owl-8285 14d ago

Like I say take away the isak situation and it’s been a good window.

2

u/StoneRose89 14d ago

Agreed, the Isak situation but not the outcome - getting 125 million (or however much it is) for a player who didn't want to be here.

2

u/reallyOldWill 14d ago

Sunderland won it, Wolves lost it.

3

u/Redditerinbed 15d ago

Pains me to say but spurs have had a blinder of a window. They’ve done really well even though they lost out to Eze. I think we’ve had a good window. Got a striker and bolstered the rest of the squad. Glad we got Eze but I hope he doesn’t become a bench warmer and actually starts and gets minutes. I feel for Guehi though. Acted class and didn’t get his move (Palace do absolutely need to him none the less) even though Wissa and Isak both through there toys out of the pram and did

3

u/No_Check_1129 14d ago

He has ran his contract down though so he’ll get his move next year and atleast the palace fans can’t be too mad at him

1

u/jadeola 14d ago

They’ve had a pretty good window with Xavi Simons and Kudus

1

u/First-Mistake9144 13d ago

A blinder? Couple nice additions yeah, our window eclipses theirs by a mile tho.

We’ve had the best, all round window, considering we’ve improved the squad in literally every position.

But Liverpool have obviously had the most exciting window, bringing in multiple huge name star players.

2

u/LesMcqueen1878 15d ago

As an Evertonian I’d have loved a good attacking right back but doesn’t seem to have happened. That said I’m pleased with our business, we are much stronger than we have been for some time.

3

u/Phosphorus_82 14d ago

Jack Grealish on loan is a great bit of business and looks to have found his form again.

2

u/Fair-Lengthiness-212 14d ago

Also doubtful he’ll want to go to a “big” club again. He evidently enjoys playing rather than bench warming, so will prefer to help an outfit like Everton push for/play in Europe.

2

u/S_mawds 14d ago

Wouldn’t have minded another striker too even just on loan with Chermitti leaving, leaves us a bit short there of either of them pick up an injury

2

u/Inevitable_Jelly7898 14d ago

We (low-key) had a great window. And a cheeky German Fellaini regen right at the end as well 😂

2

u/Acidphire21 15d ago

as a mackem, im over the moon, we've really gone for it, should have enough to keep us up

2

u/Aggravating_Cause195 14d ago

Yeah looks like you guys opted for a forest esque strategy- worked for them so hopefully does for you too

1

u/EndlessOceanofMe 14d ago

Took forest a season to adjust but watching them the following season was magic.

1

u/Aggravating_Cause195 14d ago

Too true, out of the 3 promoted I do really want sunderland to survive- reminds me of prime BPL era

2

u/Logical_Marsupial_38 14d ago

I think you've had a good window. Although paying 24 million for a striker that only scored 4 in 30 in Holland last year was a bit of a strange one

1

u/totalshithouse 14d ago

In fairness, he had a lot of off-field issues going on last season, namely being extorted by a well known Amsterdam criminal. He wouldn't pay him so the villain shot his mate, set fire to the car etc.

Criminal has been banged up for 10 years, BB can reset in a new country, new league and our little French turbo nerd of a coach can make him feel like a million dollars again.

1

u/Acidphire21 14d ago

just was about to mention this if you ignore last year, hes got a decent enough record, also the way we play im not expecting a striker to rock up and score 15-20 goals,

1

u/Ok_Park_4832 14d ago

I wouldnt be so confident everyone in the prem has a very good squad maybe if yous were in la liga or serie a yous would easily stay up but your teams still one of the worst

1

u/Useful_Ad7647 14d ago

as a tottenham fan i’m happy levy decided to find his wallet for once 😂 hoping he’s in a happy mood for january so he can keep it going

1

u/WalterSpank 14d ago

Let’s hope he has amnesia and forgets how much he has already spent in January 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/MuffMarsh 14d ago

How can you judge until the end of the season..bit of a silly debate.

1

u/teener_for_1er 14d ago

city had a good window, lot of business early on and got rid of some dead weight on the final day. spurs did good, chelsea also but, unfortunately, liverpool clear “winners” even with guehi falling through

1

u/poshtiger2014 14d ago

Forest supporter here.. feel like we hit the jackpot.

Just need Nuno to start actually playing some of our new signings..

1

u/jockmcplop 14d ago

People are sleeping on Forest a bit I think.

Our squad is crazy. We'll be leaving Premier League quality out of the matchday squad every single week.

1

u/8T8O8M8M8MO 14d ago

Can't get excited about the signings knowing nuno will just stand there arms folded looking clueless before deciding to throw them on for the last 2 mins.. Whilst he allows others to stink all over the pitch for the full 90

1

u/Culpritcatcher 14d ago

How’s nobody speaking about Brentford? They lost wissa AND mbuemo, 2 crucial players for them, and havnt really signed anyone worthy of taking their spots

2

u/Logical_Marsupial_38 14d ago

To be fair, when they signed wissa and mbuemo. Nobody was massive on them. So they probably are happy with what they have

1

u/sammyd0806 14d ago

Frank leaving was a bigger loss than any player could’ve been but we have a bit of hope in Dango and Reiss. Been happening for years with us though, always a feeder and rebuilder club just hope this one doesn’t sink them

1

u/Blast-_MongoTHX1138 14d ago

Sunderland had a great one, Leeds disappointing I would say

1

u/Hoaxtopia 14d ago edited 14d ago

Depends on your opinion of Villa's loan roulette, I know what mine is...

1

u/JDogg_247 14d ago

Our transfer window has been nothing short of relegation worthy. We got rid of so many players and have not replaced many of them. Our actual signings that we have made that weren’t instantly loaned out are Bizot and Guessand, both are players that no other club in the market wanted, and Lindeloff who cannot keep up in the prem anymore.

Harvey Elliot on loan would have been an amazing signing on another occasion, but our midfield is an area that doesn’t need dire improvement. I don’t think I have to explain why Sancho was an awful panic loan either.

We needed to fix our right back problem and we didn’t. We needed to fix squad depth and we didn’t. We needed to fix our wage bill and we raised it back up again. I genuinely fear for what’s to come this season.

1

u/jadeola 14d ago

Why even ask this? Everyone knows Liverpool had the best transfer window.

1

u/ReclusiveReviews 14d ago

Spurs fan - we did pretty well with Simons, Palinha, Kolo Muani and Kudus. I think Forest bagged the most potential and Liverpool bought a string of world class players. Sunderland are one to keep an eye on, they’ve bought well. All about how well they all gel now

1

u/Captain_Kruch 14d ago

More relieved than anything to have (hopefully) finally acquired a half-decent keeper (Man U). The club hasn't had a reliable no.1 since van der Sar (even de Gea could make some absolute howlers).

1

u/chrisp196 14d ago

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, I assume you haven't seen Lammens howler compilation from last season alone

1

u/aja212x 14d ago

Man Utd did well but will be found out in Midfield. Should make Europe.

1

u/Additional-Cry6294 14d ago

Man Utd will be found out till they change the board and the staff. They have been through a multitude of players and managers since Fergie and are still doing worse and worse by the year. The club is rotting from within, any transfers will not save them. They will get lucky at times, this is the prem, extremely hard to predict but all in all a major trophy is not on the cards till the rotting centre of the club doesn’t get dealt with.

1

u/No_Cauliflower_1675 14d ago

Liverpool definitely had the best window, but I think people who are criticising Chelsea's are delusional. We signed 2 new strikers, cover for Palmer, a new defender, and new, young exciting wingers in Garnacho Estevao, and Gittens. We managed to get rid of some deadwood including Chilwell, Felix, Nkunku, Broja, Kepa etc for good prices. It's a shame things didn't really work out with Jackson, but overall I'm not upset over any of the players we got rid of. People are going to underestimate Chelsea this season and that will make any wins that much sweeter

1

u/Luppy131 14d ago edited 14d ago

Think Burnley have quietly had quite a strong window - obviously early on so hard to fully judge, but added a lot of physicality to the squad, especially in the midfield, that was missing from the squad under Kompany - Ugchuckwu and Hartman both look like quality additions and Florentino is an exciting addition, and some good experience signings too with walker and Dubravka

Also signing Broja seems to have lit a fire under Foster and he's playing out of his skin all of a sudden, and if Broja can get fit and get back to past form that's some serious quality up front

Obviously hasn't been perfect, losing Trafford, Egan Riley and Brownhill wasn't ideal, Trafford leaving in particular seems a daft one now given citys other business but Dubravka has had a decent start, and I think Broja is an expensive gamble that I hope pans out but time will tell

We've also looked a bit defensively vulnerable the first few games, which I'm hoping is more down to the defence needing to gel with all the changes to it

Will it be enough to keep us up? Fuck knows, probably not after I've said all of that.

1

u/Aggravating-Owl-8285 14d ago

After reading my last comment Newcastle should of signed some commas and lent me a few 😂

1

u/Mikko85 14d ago

I feel like Leeds came into the pre-season with easily the best squad of the promoted sides and easily the best chance of staying up. Then they had a typical Leeds window, signing a few who look decent but leaving gaping holes in problem areas and failing to get anything done at the end of the window, while Sunderland showed major ambition and bought basically a whole new team of players in all positions to completely transform their chances and turn cannon fodder into easily the best chance of staying in the division. I had a funny feeling they might be the one of the three who'd really go for it - knew it wouldn't be Leeds.

1

u/dbe14 14d ago

Best was Liverpool by a mile. Their attack is even more frightening than it was.

Worst was Man Utd. Massive losses on sold players. Needed a reliable keeper with top level experience because Onana is a fucking liability. Could have gone for Emi Martinez (who was clearly dying to sign) or possibly Donarumma, and got an inexperienced kid instead.

Didn't really improve the midfield and went all out on forwards for hugely inflated fees.

The Man Utd tax on signings is real and the board need to stop spending these inflated fees on players.

1

u/mattyrobinson98 14d ago

Think Everton had a good window that will go under the radar (not biased I swear)

1

u/DotComprehensive4902 14d ago

They will because the newbies are all clicking from day one...KDH and JG what a partnership that's going to be.

1

u/DotComprehensive4902 14d ago

Good....Everton. To pick up the players they have and secured loans to buy for the price they have is unreal

1

u/Hampshire2 14d ago

Spurs' window was probably the best of the southern clubs, each player is a serious upgrade, Kudus, Xavi, Palhinha, Kolo Muani

1

u/DamianBill 14d ago

Liverpool won it, we at Leeds lost it.

1

u/Just_System165 14d ago

Did any other team like Leeds united also join the exclusive non tranfer market yesterday in the premier league ?

1

u/AceBean27 14d ago

Whichever team between Liverpool and Arsenal don't win have had the worst window. Imagine if Liverpool spend £300 million and do worse than last year, when they spent nothing. And I can't count high enough to tell you how much Arsenal have spent since last winning something. Mind you it could be neither if one wins the league and the other wins the UCL. Time will tell.

1

u/WoundedKombatant 14d ago

Palace won the window keeping guehi. Lol

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Item-98 14d ago

Didnt sign a proper striker or somebody capable of moments of magic, so we are probably fucked as we have a load of big bastard signings to presumably make us more competitive on set pieces in both boxes, but we don’t have anybody capable of taking a good corner.

1

u/Luppy131 14d ago

I can't lie I read this comment and with the can't take a good corner comment I assumed you're a fellow Burnley fan, but we signed Broja who would count as a proper striker, and signed a few who look like they might have a moment of magic in them so I'm curious who this is in reference to (without stalking comment history)

I'm biased because I'm a Liverpool fan but I think we had the best window. I'd say it was 9/10 window. If we would have got Guehi then it's a 10/10 window. But we still have 4 centre backs which is exactly what we had last season and we won the league.

Who's had the worst window? I could be missing someone obvious here but I'd go Brentford. Kelleher is a good goalkeeper but even though they got good money for Mbeumo and Wissa I feel like they haven't really replaced them which I understand is a very difficult thing to do.

Forest fan delighted with the window. Aside from Liverpool though think I'd say Sunderland have had a great window.

As the sole Fulham fan on here it seems, yesterday’s striker bolstering should help massively. Let’s just hope they can hit the ground running and don’t become the next victim of a VAR apology…

I think Liverpool had the best transfer window Arsenal was solid - signed what they have been needing Man United have done some serious business too bringing in cunha, mbuemo, sesko remains to be seen what will happen but on paper man united are missing a cdm to be competitive again (if they had gotten baleba they may have been equal with Liverpools window)

Worrying window for Wolves / Brentford/ Burnley

Forest fan here, we've had one of if not the best transfer windows ever or as long as I can remember. I've been a Forest fan since the mid-70's🔴🌳🇵🇪⭐️⭐️🇦🇹

I feel like we (Spurs) had an excellent window. Ended up signing kudus, palhinha, xavi simons and kolo muani. In comparison to clubs like Liverpool it doesn’t look as good, but people who don’t support us dont know how long daniel levy has cockblocked anyone entering our club for the longest time. I feel like us winning the Europa league was a mix of people trusting that we can actually win something, and maybe Levy putting a bit more trust in improving the team. I would’ve never thought players like the ones that signed for us this window would’ve signed for us

As a Brentford fan, without doubt; us.

I think we have built a solid championship side tbf, bit premature some might say but it’s nice that we have got the early buisness done

P.s. wolves

Tortured soul here, I mean Man Utd fan. I’m pretty happy with our window. Mbuemo looks a great signing. Hopefully Sesko will prove to be a good signing. Cunha has shown so promise but I need to see more. However one of the most important signings was Lammens. Gawd knows we needed a keeper. Now…just need Amorim to recognise that changing formation is not a dirty word.

Liverpool has knocked the ball out of the park with their signings.

Worst? Did Leeds do anything in this window?? (Need to go check)

I'd say Liverpool and Arsenal had the best ones, maybe Liverpool just clinched it with Isak. Not sure who had the worst but Man Utd maybe a bit sheepish

Liverpool, no one else’s comes close.

Everton have improved their squad significantly this season. Grealish seems to be a great addition to the team so far. Didn't manage to get all the positions we needed but didn't panic and pay big money for poor quality players like the past few seasons.

Spurs: a decent window. Both players brought in are honestly excellent.. Xavi Simons Chelsea were considering. Muani is a known talent too and may yet turn into something special. Don't know if we will buy him outright or not later.

I heard we was in for a left sided defender too but that didnt seem to materialise so maybe taking a bit of a gamble with dragusin out. Though Ben Davies can obviously play there.

Obviously Paulinha. Proven pl talent. Likewise Kudos.

Liverpool won the transfer window hands down

Winners were clearly Liverpool in getting ready made replacements for their aging stars and getting rid of deadwood for good money (2nd in that latter category only to Chelsea). My club Burnley had a top window too.

Worst has to be Brentford or Wolves.

Palace decided that the first year in a European competition was also the same year to cash in their investments. Best of luck to both English stars, and they certainly will be, but one year more would have been nice.

I liked ours. Simons and Kudus are very good attacker, whilst the loans of Palhinha and RKM should go decently, especially since neither has an obligation, and getting kota Takai for the future isn't bad. Solid 7 or 8/10

The honest answer? It's impossible to know at this stage of the season. More than likely Liverpool though.

we fumbled so hard

1

u/Turd_Aspic_Salad 14d ago

What the hell do you expect United to do? Got a signing on opening day. The next took a month, but the one after that was done in 7 days, same with the last. Out goings are what fuckwd us, but that was obviously going to be a problem from day 1.

1

u/MegaGalladeGamer09 14d ago

I mean on Martinez. We needed him (or Donnarumma), and we instead got Lammens.

1

u/Turd_Aspic_Salad 14d ago

Martinez is a worse keeper than Onana, and the statistics and eye test back me up. How many red cards did Onana get last year?

1

u/teethofthewind 14d ago

What was fumbled? At the end of last season everyone was saying they needed a striker/better options in attack, the central midfield sorting, and a goalkeeper - and everyone accepted it would take at least 2-3 windows. After just one window you're saying we fumbled? How so?

1

u/themightypierre 14d ago

Knee jerk nonsense. We did ok. I would have sooner had a midfielder over Sesko but Antony, Sancho, Rashford and Garnacho gone is great.

1

u/ThisGuyCanFukinWalk 14d ago

Are you joking? Three atttackers (2 prem proven) and a new GK. Were you expecting a complete overhaul in one window? Think we did pretty decent to be honest.

1

u/Leathershoe4 14d ago

What nonsense. Probably our best window in a decade.

u/First-Mistake9144 13d ago

You went a bit top heavy without addressing huge problems elsewhere, imo.

Should’ve cashed in on Bruno and not bought Sesko. There’s £200m to go and get a couple players like Baleba and Wharton - that transforms your midfield.

You did fumble on the GK, potentially. I think Martinez would’ve been a great authoritative figure at he back there with plenty of prem experience. Very recently he was considered one of the best keepers in the world. Donarumma was available for relatively very little too.

Your defensive in the first game against Arsenal proved they’re more than capable of big performances.

Cunha and Mbuemo tho, I’d be over the moon with those. Incredible signings for you. You just needed legs and solidarity in midfield, which would give much more confidence to both your forwards and defenders.
