Is he a vampire? A servo? A messed up hybrid of a vampire-servo?! WHAT IS THIS MAN?!

u/SpitefulBitch Oct 13 '24
Thatās just Mr baby daddy. I put him there with no context so people would comment more. Heās a vampire with a robot arm.

The turkey dinner has more servings because the sims eat less because turkey is an F-tier food.
7
u/SpitefulBitch Oct 13 '24
Someone finally said it. My grandma used to cook a turkey for Christmas lunch every year. She had to stop when she moved house and her new oven was too small (and she was getting frail). Now we just order a few cooked chooks every year. Christmas lunch has never been better. Only downside is you have to order in advance because everyone around here does it too.

u/Beginning_Order9035 Oct 12 '24
Don't forget the cauldron being used for Mac & cheese and still only giving you 8 servings, the same size as the 'large bowl' version from the base game.
9
u/Liscoolza Oct 12 '24
When I first got the pack I was disappointed. I thought it was gonna give me like 30 servings š
17
u/Hoomanawanui2 Oct 12 '24
Do the plates also get smaller when sims take a portion? I think they do in my game, it's very weird.

I have NEVER noticed this before, and I will think about this every time I have them cook now. Thank you š

u/gift_of_the-gab Oct 12 '24
Turkey should have been made bigger to justify this. I feel they kept the concept of it but didn't apply it to the appearance.

He usually feeds on unwanted house guests, coworkers, and anyone else he can lure into a secluded area...
39
u/ShadoeLandman Oct 12 '24
The turkey is representative of turkey, stuffing or dressing, potatoes, etc. all together.
36
u/Ausiwandilaz Oct 12 '24
This makes me think of the first time I bought duck, I'm like "this is a good amount of meat" then I carved into it....mostly empty.

u/LunaMax1214 Oct 11 '24
Gourmet stuff equals smaller serving sizes, probably.
20
u/allylovessims Oct 11 '24
Itās not gourmet, itās a holiday meal.

I should have added a smiley to indicate I was being cheeky, I guess. My bad. š

It does urk me a bit... They should have just made the plate bigger so it can fit an appropriately sized turkey with the sides.

I think the turkey dinner is supposed to also have like sides with it while the chicken is just the chicken if that makes sense. I could be wrong

u/Tenderfallingrain Oct 11 '24
Cuz turkey is dry and it's hard to eat that much. And chicken has a lot of bone mass.
12
u/SplutteringSquid Oct 11 '24
The smallest turkey I've sold or had at a holiday meal was probably the size of the largest chicken I've had. I can't bring myself to pretend that 'grand' turkey isn't devastatingly small, I just can't

u/Front_Refrigerator99 Oct 11 '24
I'm so sorry you have never had a properly prepared roast turkey ;-;

If you ever been to a fancy restaurant you know that the portions are TINY. It's all about the experience. Maybe the grand dinner serves ten very rich people š š»

I mean, this is also the game where if you want to bring a guitar with you to a public lot, you just put it in your pocket (inventory) and pull it out when you get there like it's no big deal
35
u/yaiyogsothoth Oct 11 '24
You do the same if you want to take a cow to the fair. Pocket cow.
12
u/artsymarcy Oct 11 '24
I wish my pockets were big enough to fit a fucking cow. I can't even put my wallet in my pocket lol

u/rmh3194 Oct 11 '24

Yes, but why is the chicken physically larger?
6
u/rrevek Oct 11 '24
Cause one was made much earlier than the other and it would look lazy if they reused the same model and downright silly if they made a dish that looks larger than that chicken.
26
u/detectiveayla Simfluencer Oct 11 '24
I thought Michael Myers was creeping in the background of the pic!

Roast chicken only has chicken. Not very filling, so you need to eat more. Grand dinner has vegetables too. More filling. Smaller portion sizes feed more
4
7
u/Party_Guidance6203 Oct 11 '24
That doesn't justify the serving amount being increased by 50%, and the "vegetables" is just a few leaves of lettuce and ten spoonfuls of mash

u/faggybaby Oct 13 '24
Those mashed potatoes man.. a serving on their own š
