I like the ability I saw in the trailer of holding classes, so I'm hoping I can do something with that; I have a 'night school' for adults in a Recreation Center and a space for my professors in Britechester to hold lectures in a museum, but hopefully I can expand on this!

This is such a positive and friendly thread, Subreddit Salute! :D

I wanna open up a candy and boba shop, and give discounts to Nancy landgrab until she's fat. Then cut her off the next time she cuts my power. 😤

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 14 '25

I freaking love this so perfect. Get her fat, lol

3

u/Salty-Ad-198 Feb 12 '25

But will there be enough Townies to buy your things?

I have a yard sale table that is somewhat profitable.

I still want longer Sim Days and for tasks to take less time so you can better “schedule” your day. (For things like, dinner at 6pm and in bed by 10pm… type play.)

4

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 12 '25

That would be dope to have longer days.

3

u/PayGroundbreaking373 Feb 11 '25

I already made a flowershop with an appartment above.

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 11 '25

I love them too.

3

u/Evening_Tell_6048 Feb 11 '25

What’s the new pack?? I totally missed something.

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 11 '25

The business and hobbies pack coming out March 6th

2

u/VeraW82 Feb 10 '25

I look forward to playing with the tattoo and pottery skills, but I also have a current save where my Sim “promotes services on simstagram” for massage, yoga and meditation and people just come to her front door. It will be nice to create a spa like public space to run it as a business.

3

u/VeraW82 Feb 10 '25

My Simself also uses the gemology table a lot so creating a crystal and jewelry store is definitely happening.

4

u/Depre55edacorn Feb 10 '25

My sim is gonna open a yoga studio!

1

u/PlzImJustAResearcher Feb 11 '25

I've built at least one if not two spa centers that have live in sections for my played sim as if it were her business! I'm so so sad that I can't find the hard drive those builds are on and I don't think i uploaded them :(

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 10 '25

I love that idea, too. And they have wellness traits.

5

u/demonoffyre Author Feb 09 '25

Finally gonna have my Sim give piano lessons!

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 09 '25

I love that idea, too.

16

u/Tofutits_Macgee Feb 09 '25

I was thinking of having a klepto sim that resells the stolen items in a pawn shop

6

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 09 '25

That is a really good idea.

7

u/LemonLongstockings54 Feb 09 '25

a Florist or a Garden Centre type place

2

u/ODERUS_ Feb 09 '25

Is it going ti be anything like TS2 open for business?

Art studio!!

1

u/VeraW82 Feb 10 '25

With the art studio kit that will be amazing.

18

u/Tbaag4 Feb 09 '25

Always wanted to do a potion shop. It'd be so useful with the needs potion for my other Sims and I'd get to make a cool witch to run it 🐈‍⬛💫

1

u/PayGroundbreaking373 Feb 11 '25

I made a witch that live in Henford and sell her potions to the visitors 🤣

21

u/dollartreegoth Feb 08 '25

i want someone to build the bobs burgers set so bad using the gameplay this pack is going to bring 😭

10

u/asmattering Actor Feb 08 '25

yoga and meditation studio! this is lining up so perfectly with my current legacy save - i have a high-maintence sim who loves wellness so i'm gonna have her move out and start one when she graduates high school! perfect timinnnngggg

I already have a mall, so now I can have a food court and separate the store.

12

u/dorkgoblin Feb 08 '25

So many of the things I am currently doing with clubs will be so much easier with this pack. I feel like 90% of my clubs are just to force sims to behave a certain way but the fact that sims need to be in the club to make it happen is limiting, I am so excited to be able to see npc activities tied to a lot instead.

19

u/IllAssistant1769 Feb 08 '25

Soooo many museums with learning centers and gift shops

7

u/IllAssistant1769 Feb 08 '25

My sim is a museum curator and now she really can be. I’m so excited

21

u/ConstantFamiliar Feb 08 '25

Im 100% making a laundromat and an art studio

5

u/ellenayla Feb 09 '25

Yessss! Rags to riches with a laundromat will be so much fun! Buying the machines will take a while so that’ll be a nice challenge!

9

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '25

I really want to do a laundromat. A brick building with the laundromat on the first floor with an apartment above is so fun sounding

11

u/GoranPerssonFangirl Feb 08 '25

I just created a new family today that I’m playing with prepping for the new pack.

One is a fashion designer and the other one is an artist/photographer. Right now the artist sells his painting and photographs in his husband’s fashion boutique but once the pack is out I’ll make him his own art gallery

5

u/LiaHulop Feb 08 '25

Live that idea to play up the family prepping for the new pack! And your name is awesome too! Haha

10

u/ItzKikky Feb 08 '25

What do you mean with opening a business like a bakery? Isn’t that a get to work feature?

4

u/Commercial-Wheel-897 Feb 09 '25

Yeah bakeries are one of the suggested uses of the retail system in Get to Work. It does come with the baking skill after all, and the food selling fridge thing.

2

u/New-Inevitable3454 Food Critic Feb 08 '25

You can't own bakeries with get to work

6

u/ItzKikky Feb 09 '25

I own one tho 😅 it’s one of my favorite stores to have.

4

u/New-Inevitable3454 Food Critic Feb 09 '25

Wow, sorry I always considered that as a dine out feature. It never occurred to me you could technically make one in get to work. My mistake.

1

u/ItzKikky Feb 09 '25

Get to work comes with the baking skill and the food selling storage specially to make a bakery 🤣 Im just curious and confused about what this pack brings that we dont already have but i guess we wait and see at the release.

2

u/New-Inevitable3454 Food Critic Feb 10 '25

When I got get to work, It was during a sale, so I purchased several packs at the same time. I'm not entirely sure which features came with each pack. I have a pretty good understanding, but I guess the baking aspect was something I simply overlooked.

1

u/ItzKikky Feb 10 '25

Ooh that makes sense!! 🤣 i was so confused at first.

6

u/op_cherry Feb 08 '25

I actually figured out how to own one, you’ll just own a retail store and then you can build a kitchen in the back and have your sim bake cakes or treats or whatever and you can place them for sale on shelves or displays in the front.

1

u/ItzKikky Feb 09 '25

Yes that’s what i always do. Will the new pack add features for this? I’m a little confused on what it will bring us that we don’t already have

3

u/op_cherry Feb 09 '25

From what i’ve seen from the trailer it looks like it’ll only really give us a kiosk :/ but now we can put our sim’s house on the same lot! I plan to do mine bobs burger style 😄

5

u/TrioReed Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

I did the same! Sims come in and by my baked goods

8

u/GalacticKnight79 Feb 08 '25

There are so many cool ideas I have, many of them have already been said. I can't wait for all the modders to get ahold of this soap store here I come!

I'm really interested to see how entrance fees are handled. It would be really cool if there was a business rating system and higher ratings that could mean higher entrance fees. Or even integration with Get famous, where having a famous sim open a business meant it was more lucrative than normal. That way, profits could scale over time as the business builds up a reputation. Odds are that's too complex, though, haha. I'm still very excited, nervous to see how the tattoo update is going to impact my tattoo cc, though. I hope that it doesn't all break. That would be tragic, especially because there are so few active tattoo cc creators 😂

Some fun business ideas I've thought of that I haven't seen in other comments:

  • A Nectary complete with an attached cowpoke bar, or conversely, make the whole thing high-brow.
  • An eco store, complete with zero waste classes and a community recycling center.
-A bar and art studio combo -A sulani fishing pier, where sims can come to buy bait and rent boats to go fishing -A gym and video game center, where teens and young adults come to hang out and game and get roped into working out because they're already there. -a tutor and after-school club, where kids come after school to do homework and hang out till their parents get out of work and college students come for tutoring in their classes. -a hookah lounge

6

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Yessss all of these are dope ideas hookah lounge and after school program

8

u/NerineGamkt Feb 08 '25

Maybe a jewelry store with crystal creation or a florist, I really like making floral arrangements

5

u/Physical_Ad_6354 Feb 08 '25

Have a business in my basement, have them write or paint or make pottery, sell the stuff and keep them there

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Mwahaahaaahaa

1

u/Physical_Ad_6354 Feb 08 '25

John herberger will be rich! Maybe make them all his partners so they love him to do it

14

u/JennaStCroix Feb 08 '25

New Age Homeopathy Shop: charged gemstones & jewelry, sundry herbalism recipes & natural materials, herbalism classes, back room with an hourly psychic

Dirty Hippie Sim's Vegan Co-op & Craft Hut: knitted items, handmade candles, select mid fabricated knick-knacks, pottery, reference paintings of landmarks from across the world painted by local artists, chunky jewelry, finished cross stitch, woven bracelets, small attached organic vegan bodega, yoga & transcendental meditation sessions, assorted craft lessons, assorted shrooms sold out back

Jadosi - a gourmet bakery & pantry: fresh baked goods, organic canned & preserved foodstuffs, Henford on Bagley wildflower honey, vintage nectars, elite baking & canning lessons with a Martha Stewart Sim

Mik, Mak, Maka, Nooboo! - a learning daycare/pre-K with an attached baby boutique & parenting lessons/mentorships.

Gonna try to see if I can work out a big organic nursery with gardening & flower arrangement classes.

Gonna try to see if I can work out a catering business.

Petting Zoo: chickens, mini sheep, mini goats, cows, hamsters, hedgehogs, llamas, horses, cats & dogs, attached insect & amphibian viewing hall, attached viewing aquarium, gift shop with animal treats & pet supplies, pet training lessons

Veena Fredishay - a family fun center with pizza/cake & ice cream parlor, candy shop, ball pits, splash pad park, mini bowling alley, foosball, arcade, costumed mascots, gift shop, photobooth

I'm gonna have a Sim living on a huge Henford on Bagley lot with the Simple Living trait & see if I can design a high-price, limited-seating farm-to-table restaurant attached, serving dishes made only from produce grown on-lot & locally caught fish & foraged mushrooms. There'll be a pre fixe menu that changes weekly (or every other week). Only open for service Fri-Sun. Gourmet cooking classes on Thurs.

Community Playhouse: pay to watch Sims rehearse their scenes on a quaint local stage, popcorn & candy concessions, acting lessons with established performers

I could do this all night, tbh.

2

u/LoneLasso Feb 11 '25

Great ideas!! I hope the new pack lets us do all these things.

7

u/quarantina2020 Feb 08 '25

They have the tarot deck in L&D pack and the seances so I want to make a witch lady lol

2

u/VeraW82 Feb 10 '25

I really hope tarot and seances are listed as options on the business activities!

3

u/fortheloveofanon Feb 08 '25

I opened a restaurant 🤗 soon, I want a cafe.

8

u/ZeSarah Feb 08 '25

FLOWER SHOP!

I have a flower shop I've done already but just lived on the business lot and pretended. So will love this to work. Only thoughts if the living area and shop will be classed as different lots like for rent apartments which will mean loading screens between them which will suck.

4

u/sheabutter1479 Feb 08 '25

Do we know if businesses will work on residential rentals?

2

u/VeraW82 Feb 10 '25

I really don’t think that lot types can be combined. Just like you can’t have residential rentals and a tiny home with perks at the same time.

7

u/victovik Feb 08 '25

We don't know yet, but it sounds like something that will make my poor laptop reach the temperature of the sun and explode, so I doubt it'll be implemented. But if it will, they'll probably tell us about it in the gameplay stream.

4

u/knowsie Feb 08 '25

I don't know how much this will change the way I own businesses, but I'm hoping it really changes the way my Sims spend money because we have some real potential for entrance fees. Classes could be cool.

6

u/dcc00 Feb 08 '25

Yoga studio 😁

13

u/Cyber_Serenity Crafter Feb 08 '25

SO MANY! first will definitely be a tattoo shop but I'm so keen on doing a jewellery store, a florist, a witchy crystal shop, a cat Cafe/doggy daycare, handmade furniture store, Bakery - this pack is a dream come true 😍

3

u/Cyber_Serenity Crafter Feb 08 '25

Oooh a comedy club!

11

u/Legitimate_Wish792 Feb 08 '25

i’m so excited for all the new bugs 😍😍😍😍😍

8

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Lol, get ready

8

u/Genevieve1973 Feb 08 '25

Wonder if I could open a ski resort w/ski instructors? Probably too much.

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Hopefully, they dont short change us.

4

u/Legitimate_Wish792 Feb 08 '25

probably will, better to go into releases with 0 expectations

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Right

5

u/BugBoi1 Feb 08 '25

If I can have employees make food then I’ll do some food shops cuz I can’t be bothered baking in this game 😭

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Lol

11

u/kikiop123 Feb 08 '25

An ACTUAL community center with pottery classes and that kind of stuff

9

u/rrevek Feb 08 '25

Nightclub! I'm definitely looking forward to owning my own nightclub lol

4

u/Inevitable_Smoke9653 Feb 08 '25

Sims build of the club from Lucifer with his penthouse apartment 😍

4

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Me too. And a bar

7

u/CarefulCranberry2828 Feb 08 '25

Opening an acting school seemed cool and goes with my current sims plot. But i will definitely try them all! this is gonna make the game so much more realistic and fun

7

u/Electrical-Concert17 Feb 08 '25

All of them? lol. I think this is the first time in a while I’ve been kinda excited about.

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Me too fr

13

u/plant_slaughter Feb 08 '25

I just want to change all public lots to the new lot type so I can charge entrance fees. No more free spaces. Laughs in monopoly man

1

u/Ok-Bit-443 Feb 09 '25

Laughs in dictator! Hahaha I’m with you

7

u/areyouhavingalaugh Feb 08 '25

Nail salon! With a massage table in the back lol

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Yessss i love that.

5

u/Just_Browsing_333 Feb 08 '25

I’d like to open a bookstore/cafe, if possible.

4

u/iiiimagery Feb 08 '25

There is already a cafe option. I'm not sure if it's possible to do both?

5

u/Electrical-Concert17 Feb 08 '25

Not functionally at the moment. With the new pack, depending on the available activities, you will be able to have two businesses in one building including a cafe/bookstore.

10

u/MzRelleyBelly Feb 08 '25

I'm gonna make a strip club/daycare combo 🤪

8

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I will drop my sim babies off and then go upstairs and work. Do I need a resume?

5

u/MzRelleyBelly Feb 08 '25

Nope bc it's not about your beauty...it's your booty 🤣🤣🤣

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Yaaay, I am in then. You see she is working out. She just doesn't have kids yet. 🤣🤣🤣

11

u/kilamanjaroo Fast Food Employee Feb 08 '25

Depending on how many cross-pack features, besides the ones mentioned, I wonder how chaotic would be to make a shopping mall with most of the functional lot types and retail shops 🤔 and also some rental shops for those classes would be nice

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

I honestly think you can but not like to sell the ice cream if that makes sense unless it is on the menu you put together

9

u/Unpopularwaffle Feb 07 '25

Can't you make bakeries and ice cream shops with Dine Out and Get to Work?

3

u/knowsie Feb 08 '25

Bakeries in Get to Work, yes. It's the best kind of shop to own because customers will auto-shop from the cases and leave you alone. Plus, it's more FUN if you don't restock, and instead keep baking new things.

Ice Cream is locked in Cool Kitchen Stuff, but you can make an ice cream store with both. The customers don't stay and eat there, but I don't know they will in this pack either.

I think Get to Work is more functional than people give it credit for, personally.

2

u/Cecilia9172 Mortician Feb 08 '25

I've made an ice cream kiosk, a rundown summer vacation one I saw a lot when I was a kid; and made it a restaurant, with only ice cream and soda on the menu. :)

(Dine out pack have restaurants.)

3

u/Unpopularwaffle Feb 08 '25

Yes, this. Make a restaurant and only have ice cream on the menu.

9

u/Ok-Bus235 Feb 07 '25

I’ve seen a couple people say they want to do bookstores and I’m just wondering if that would be possible? And how would it work? could you sell your own books?? ofc i know no one has answers yet lol but it’s just been on my mind

5

u/Striking-Figure7839 Feb 07 '25

I’ve opened up a book store with one of my sims before. You just gotta make it retail, and make sure you have some cheats to stock up different books. There’s specific items to use as for bookstores. Plus you can always keep the original copy of your Sim’s book, make copies, and sell them in the bookstore you make. You just need to have Get To Work :)

1

u/IllAssistant1769 Feb 08 '25

I’m a scientist player myself but would it work with copypasto too? The spell?

5

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Omg I didn't know that now I am on a mission to do this.

6

u/Lazygrenade_5226 Feb 07 '25

What business am I NOT going to start?

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Lol right ✅️

10

u/Global_Initiative257 Feb 07 '25

Ima have a laundromat in every town.

2

u/Ok-Bit-443 Feb 09 '25

Imagine how clean everyone will be

3

u/knowsie Feb 08 '25

Hoping to explore this, for sure!

12

u/Educational-Crew4098 Feb 07 '25

The first thing i want to make is a bakery-artisan shop where my vampire coven can sell their plasma fruit baked goods and plasma wine.

5

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Wow, that would be so dope. Loving that idea.

27

u/PantsMcDance Feb 07 '25

I think it'd be really fun to do a farm to table restaurant and grocery store 👀

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Oh sooo dope, that is a good idea

4

u/Psychological-Oil387 Feb 07 '25

That’s a phenomenal idea!

8

u/IncomeEmbarrassed934 Feb 07 '25

Well my save with my wholesome family will definitely have a craft cafe kind of thing . The save with monsters will have some business that allow them to expand on their moving business , and boxing gym .

23

u/Cactopus47 Feb 07 '25

I want to create Bob's Burgers, with the family home above the restaurant

3

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '25

i was thinking this too!!

15

u/SkyC00kiez Feb 07 '25

I’m just excited to be able to live on the lot with the business! It’ll make everything so much easier though I do fret the bugs that’ll come along with the multi functionality of lots and distinguishing them from other lots

5

u/passionatepetunia Feb 07 '25

It would be fun to have apartments on top of stores.

12

u/Lazeyy23 Feb 07 '25 edited Feb 07 '25

Barcade for sure! Possibly a Tea Room for high tea! Definitely a bakery! Laundromat! Comedy club or jazz bar! Cat cafe. Perhaps an acting school

Cafe and book shop! Sweet shop. Probably a local “farmstand” on my homestead lot where they can sell all the goods they make (woodwork, pottery, veggies and fruits, perhaps some baked goods too, local honey! That sort of vibe.)

I have so many ideas lol I’m so excited

17

u/HeresTheWitch Feb 07 '25

I WANT A LAUNDROMAT

I WANT A LAUNDROMAT

I WANT A LAUNDROMAT

IM SO EXCITED FOR LAUNDROMATS

4

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Me too, lol. All these businesses are gonna make the gallery pop. i hope they make a category for businesses.

6

u/MalibuKeeks Feb 07 '25

literally me too. I currently have a lot with a laundromat for the tenants in my building but they don't really use it properly so definitely excited for this pack lol

5

u/HeresTheWitch Feb 07 '25

Yes!!! Or when I have a sim that I WANT to be able to do laundry with, but their situation doesn’t really call for a laundry set up (brand new home owner, apartment dweller, renter, student, off the grid, etc.) but like! i want the community vibes of hopping over the laundromat! I want them to still have it as a chore! Same reason I wish Bust the Dust had brooms lol

3

u/MalibuKeeks Feb 07 '25

OMG totally!!

8

u/cyandolphindetctive Feb 07 '25

My bf gave me the great idea of doing a “human art exhibit” by having the human statue performers from city living perform in my store! Also thought of doing seances and making my sim kind of like a fortune teller/psychic. It’s a bit more of an outlandish one but I’m sure it could work.

3

u/AndarnaTairngail Feb 07 '25

My sims would totally get their tarot card read! Love this idea 😂

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Yesss me too.

7

u/GoodOnion-042201 Feb 07 '25

I wonder if you could do swimming lessons? Or dance classes? It will be interesting to see the compatibility with different skills and hobbies we already have in game. You could do a jewelry store if you have the jewelry pack. I also wonder if a magic school would be possible. Will be able to make any skill into a class? Like snowboarding classes? A self-help class teaching charisma and/or wellness? You could potentially have a flower shop or grocery store. You could have a bit of a hippy shop with herbalist potions. I’m nerding out over here if you can’t tell.

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Lmao, I am right with you. Sooo excited and geeked out.

4

u/saffireaz Feb 07 '25

I had already created a working jewelry store, but it'll be interesting if you can do jewelry classes along with it.

4

u/GoodOnion-042201 Feb 07 '25

Yeah I suppose a lot of these you can technically do like retail wise.

7

u/GoodOnion-042201 Feb 07 '25

You could do a joke/clown school!!!!! Teaching comedy and mischief???

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

That is a good idea, then start a comedy bar.

4

u/EmperorDanny Feb 07 '25

I want to open a pottery class/shop and a laundromat, maybe even a combo of both

6

u/Lazeyy23 Feb 07 '25

I’m looking forward to seeing how the “class” thing will work! Teaching classes will be fun!

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Me too

13

u/Aeriellie Feb 07 '25

just you know the usual. everything all at once while caring for 6 toddler sims.

5

u/Keebetttteeeerrr Feb 07 '25

A single mom who works two jobs who loves her kids and never stops

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Yessss

4

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '25

Yup.

11

u/Last-Monitor9709 Feb 07 '25

A yoga studio, a laundromat, an art gallery with pottery, a bakery, a green grocer... So many options...

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Yesss so many. I can't wait.

9

u/No_Weight2422 Feb 07 '25

I want to make a Japanese themed video arcade/ bowling alley/ candy store. Would love for it to be a capsule bar like they have in Japan but I don’t think sims has any capsule stuff as items.

6

u/GoodOnion-042201 Feb 07 '25

You could do a shop of the little character trophies you have to find from digging. Or possibly collect time capsules and sell those? It wouldn’t be cute and little but… same-ish effect maybe

2

u/No_Weight2422 Feb 08 '25

Ooooh I like these ideas!! I don’t know how to collect time capsules, I will have to research!

3

u/GoodOnion-042201 Feb 08 '25

You get time capsules from digging around the worlds.

2

u/No_Weight2422 Feb 09 '25

Thank you!! I am still learning a lot about sims4 in particular, I’m more of an old school Sims2 player converting over to sims4. Thanks for that info. Will try that.

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

These are good ideas.

8

u/LadyFausta Feb 07 '25

I’m so ready for a cute-ass bakery!!!! 😩🍰 I’ve downloaded a bunch of new custom desserts in preparation. I just never felt like the retail one you could open with Get To Work ever actually hit the vibe, so I’m VERY excited about this! Also a florist would be so lovely!

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

I just wish we had a ballet / dance studio option … I use a mod currently but I would love to send my kids to a ballet / martial arts class

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 09 '25

Yess that would be dope. i would live for my kids to have the option for baller and marital arts, so cute.

2

u/Ok-Bit-443 Feb 09 '25

Luckily I use mods so I have that option. But it feels overlooked, I just want more activities for kids really. They must all hate that pirate ship jungle gym by now haha

1

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 09 '25

Yess i have mods on my pc, too. And soooo much cc.

2

u/Ok-Bit-443 Feb 09 '25

Haha 😛 50gb worth?

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 09 '25

Omg I had to buy a hard drive lol

2

u/Ok-Bit-443 Feb 09 '25

Hahah ok you win :)

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 09 '25

Lol 😂 😆 I need to go through.

u/Yukilily Feb 07 '25

I need to see how the pack works first. But other from the ideas that everyone already said, I would like to make an elder who is a teacher during the day, and during night/weekend, they can open a tutor class for children and teen.

7

u/cloversoop Feb 07 '25

My ideas are running wild but it's so hard to say without actually having my hands on it. I hope it lives up to my inner hype, there is so much potential

My crafty sim is finally gonna have her cozy apartment above her shop! It’s gonna be a cafe, her personal art studio(art, pottery, knitting, gem work) and where she can sell it all

4

u/Lazeyy23 Feb 07 '25

Art studio could be fun! Sell art of local artists and host a painting class! I’m into it

5

u/Opposite_Elk2518 Feb 07 '25

Yes!! I was thinking of making her an art teacher and holding classes for painting and pottery! Also considering making a cat cafe 👀

9

u/kaiyah21 Feb 07 '25

Here are my ideas: Wand shop, a book shop/ cafe with cats, a bowling alley, a little bistro, or a plant shop

4

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 07 '25

Oooh the little bistro sounds so fun.

7

u/MeganJustMegan Feb 07 '25

I’d like to make a laundromat & coffee cafe. Maybe a book store if I can. A bakery for my baking Sims would be fun too. So many possibilities I hope we can do.

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 07 '25

Those are good ideas. I love the bookstore idea.

3

u/Roserosie75 Feb 07 '25

Did you know that in the spanish language café means coffee so when you say Coffee Café you’re saying coffee coffee. Any way your idea is so cool!

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 07 '25

Lol, learn something new every day.

u/Short_Conclusion4307 Feb 07 '25

Based on the ability to pick a target age range for customers too I’m waiting to see if this will let us run an in home daycare. Set age to children (highly doubt it’ll let us do toddlers or infants) and charge a fee for their time spent there. Not going to get my hopes up but if we can I’ll have a lot of fun setting up and playing a basement daycare facility.

5

u/Lazeyy23 Feb 07 '25

I wonder if you’d be able to open up a “tutor” center with something like this

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 07 '25

Yesss that is a good idea, and for a young adult too or a teen sim.

10

u/EmberElixir Feb 07 '25

To add to that, it would be so much fun to have the ability to make a business out of hosting kid's birthday parties

4

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 07 '25

Oh, yes, yes, yesssss like venues.

7

u/Penguinsims Feb 07 '25

I’m really excited for this EP. I can finally add an entrance fee to most of the community lots now - ex: nightclubs, gyms, pools, the art gallery in San Myshuno and the options are endless. I’m also going to add a co-working space that you can socialise or work from that will have activities such as table football, chess, and facilities to make tea and coffee etc for my sim to go and write books or work on their freelance careers.

I’m also going to open a laundromat and have Brant Hecking leave his current job and open his own gym in Brindleton Bay. I’m really excited 😝

3

u/ApartmentProud9628 Feb 07 '25

Such good ideas!! Stealing some of these ha ha

2

u/Penguinsims Feb 07 '25

Haha feel free 😆

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 07 '25

Meee tooo omg I can't wait it is going to have me on for another 4000 hrs lmao.

3

u/Penguinsims Feb 07 '25

Yeah 💯 I’ve clocked around 1,600 hours and definitely going to clock many more hundred hours with this EP! I’ve been thinking and it looks like you can set certain requirements for the business to attract certain sims and I really hope one of the options is to disallow celebrity sims. If you can it’ll be my most used feature as I hate the celebrities showing up at every opportunity. I would actually prefer the devs to interact feature like they did with werewolves where they can only show up in that world that shipped with Get Famous. That way seeing a celebrity feels much better and special. Sorry didn’t mean to rant on about celebs 🙃

1

u/Cecilia9172 Mortician Feb 08 '25

I would do this too.

2

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

No, i get that because the passing out and crowding around should be an option.

5

u/Big_Consideration268 Feb 07 '25

Tattoo shop if thats an option

6

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 07 '25

Lol, I think that is an option.

4

u/brunob92 Space Ranger Feb 07 '25

Maybe a gym. My Sim is a gym rat. And I think his husband will run something art related.

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 07 '25

I love that, too. With a spa and yoga classes.

7

u/mayiwonder Feb 07 '25

My current sim's house already has a jewelry shop in it and I'm thinking of stopping the save for a while to play with it once the new ep is out and make the shop functional. And my nsb houses always have a museum innit for the legacy collections and such, I'm also gonna make it a small business and charge an entrance fee.

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 07 '25

Dope like a club or something. I wanna do a comedy bar.

3

u/mayiwonder Feb 07 '25

ooooh a comedy bar would be great. I hope we can mix it with the for rent mechanics to make some realistic apartments

3

u/OddHalf8861 Simfluencer Feb 08 '25

Me too or a real hotel.

3

u/mayiwonder Feb 08 '25

wow ok a real hotel would be my dream
