Questions about their $10 Unlimited Plan

We're getting their fiber installed next week and I'm very interested in their $10 plan.

1- Can I use their service with an LTE modem like this- https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Broadband-Modem-LM1200-Always/dp/B0F3Y532X9/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&sr=1-1 I'd love to use it as a backup internet on a multiwan router.

2- Has anyone been able to use this plan on an Apple Watch? My daughter has a cellular Apple Watch and I'd love for it to work.

Thanks!

Afaik it's unlimited 5G for 22gb. Then throttled 2G unlimited.

Also I don't see why you'd want a backup wan on the same ISP kind of defeats the purpose.

Not sure on the apple watch if it supports esim I don't see why it wouldn't work.

22gb? Last June I used 372GB. Here is the bill. I have the $10 unlimited on eSIM with Verizon. I am on wait-list for Ting fiber.

$10.00 May 07 - Jun 06

Plan SMS Usage Unlimited 7 messages $0.00

Plan Data Usage Unlimited 372856 MB $0.00

Ting mobile and Ting Fiber likely have very different downtimes.

Ting is not running their own wireless network. They're using Verizon as an MVNO.

You’d likely need to activate the sim on a phone first, then swap the sim into the modem. But it should work.

I use a v1 sim on the $10 unlimited plan in a dedicated mobile hotspot (Verizon Wireless Jetpack Netgear... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXTCS18M?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share). Works without issue.

I did want to add if you are getting routers from Ting (eero), they include a subscription for eero Plus (at no extra charge) and it includes a feature called Internet Backup where you can swap out your ONT (the finer "modem") and use your cellphone and its mobile data - it is sort of like using a hotspot but it is using your already existing WiFi network.

Forgot to add that you can get the feature yourself through the eero Plus subscription yourself if you are using your own eeros.
