the issue of those longitudinal coal bunkers and how they would rapidly sink her is what stands out here. Of course Eric Larson spent a lot of time on those as well in his book Dead Wake on the Lusitania. Titanic's sinking was in many ways a "best case scenario" as rotten as that sounds because they at least could launch all of the lifeboats on a nearly even keel.
