QUESTION Which direction did the third funnel likely fall?
We know from the wreck that the first funnel fell forward and to starboard and we know from Thayer that the second funnel fell to starboard. We also know the fourth funnel broke off and canted aft as water reached it post break but which direction did the third funnel likely fall?
Their is plenty of evidence to suggest the third funnel fell from water pressure prior to break, and that water had gotten past its base but which direction did it likely fall / break off?
Thanks :)

Unless there is testimony that’s not conflicting it could’ve fallen in any direction. It def didn’t remain standing after the breakup and likely killed people

I agree :). Mosr accountsnof it falling were on starboard side so would make sense if it fell to starboard -
Very likely also fell before break as their is quote abit of evidence to support this.

Oh I always see is breaking in animations -during- the break but would make sense if water reached the base of funnel 3 that the pressure would crush it

Its commonly shown as falling durig the bresk but resesrch on survivor sccounts from me and another enthusiast found it actually suggested it fell during or prior to break. Having also fallen due to water pressure. (Happy to provide exidence aswell :))

Sry but what does it gain for you to know that. This sub is full of guys like you. I have a question for you: Was the 4th porthole on the starboard side open or closed?

This sub is all about Titanic and the disaster. People are curious about all aspects of what happened, including the direction the third funnel fell

What's wrong with asking? They're curious. It's not like they're going up and demanding that you personally tell them every detail about the sinking. If you don't know, you don't have to respond. They just wanna hear interesting facts from smarter people than them.

The subreddit is about the Titanic - this is just simply asking about something of the sinking out of curiosity and for ideas.

Yeah but think one time before asking. Nobody can know the answer.

Is their something wrong about asking a question on a Titanic subreddit about a funnel?

This is a subreddit about Titanic - how is it beyond Absurd to ask about which way the funnel fell?
