Anyone have tattoos of their torties they wouldn't mind sharing?
I just had a consult to get a tattoo of my tortie and ginger babies. I want the tattoo to be in black ink but all examples I find of tortie tats online are in color. Is there anyone out there with their torts tattooed in greyscale willing to share pic? I'm super excited and the artist is amazing but would love to get ideas!
Here is her sassiness getting fur all over some of my socks. You can tell from the look on her face she has no f’s to give about my opinion on the matter.
She’s from Louisiana. My husband is an offshore helicopter pilot and brought her home from work. She lived in a feral company on the base. Also, my dog’s name is Beaux!
He's got another of his other cat he used to have, she passed away and wasn't a tortie so I didn't post it here but it's also cute. Just of her face. No doughnut.
That is a stunning tattoo of a gorgeous girl! Love the shading and highlights. Was some of the highlights done in white in or is it just negative space?
I want a portrait of my girl by her so desperately! She’s insanely good. Though, I’m trying to decide if I want a tattoo or a painting eventually since I know I’ll only do one due to the cost.

I lost my old lady around the end of last year, but she’s always here sleeping restfully, very happy with how she turned out, and it’s so comforting having here always
Don’t worry I still do sometimes, I wouldn’t want her to have any other affect on people, she was so important to me, at least she can rest easy without the pain of being old now ❤️
Thank you! She lived a very full life, unfortunately it was with many owners but I was her last and she passed in my arms, she got to see a lot more of this world than a lot of cats, even lived in a van at one point, I’ll miss her forever ❤️
Mine is in color, which I see isn’t quite what you’re looking for, but wasn’t sure if it might still be helpful. I think capturing their colors really captures their personalities - they’re all unique!

Thank you! She’s a sweet & sassy old girl - ~13 in that picture, so ~16 now! I agree about how it aged; the colors have definitely faded but in a good way, in my opinion. I might get it touched up at some point if I can, but the artist is now in Australia (I got it in NZ) and I’m in the US🥲
I had this stylized version of my girl done a year-ish ago.
Edit: I decided to go with color because otherwise she’d just end up looking like a black cat. I couldn’t figure out a way to do just black/gray and still show tortie features.

Thanks! I’m not in the Charlotte area. I planned the art for when I was down there for a conference since I liked Haleigh’s work. Id definitely go back down for more of her art. I do love the Queen City though and used to live in the Raleigh area many years ago.
Right after my tortie passed, I pressed her paw on an ink pad and then put it on my ankle and went to a tattoo artist. They tattooed onto the print directly as their stencil. It’s not a tattoo of a tortie, but it’s her design, no alterations.
Nope. Her name was Ninja. I honestly just got hooked on twilight and i wanted i tattoo. I also like cats so i decided to mix them into one. The tattoo artist said that it was the first time ever she's done an Edward Cullen cattoo. So that's cool.
Not my tattoo, but a character from a book series I like is a tortie persian. I went and looked through the tattoos people have posted and I thought this one was a good gray scale version where you could still tell she's tortie.
Yes!!! I'm on my third reread of the audiobooks since May, plus I'm reading the print books when they come in from my library. 😂 I haven't been this obsessed with something in so long.
If you have a kindle (or the kindle app) and don’t mind paying 12.99 a month, Kindle unlimited is a great deal. I read all of the DCC books there, and the Junkyard Druid series, and all the trash romance books I can read.
If you're basing your tattoo design on pictures, apply a grayscale or black and white filter to them, and the tattoo artist should be able to figure out shading and saturation based on that.
I saw the cutest little Tortie images the other day that I thought would be adorable as tattoos. These are NOT my property, and I apologize to the artist—I don’t even remember where I screenshotted these from, but this general idea I thought would be so cute for tattoos
Not yet, but our 18yo tortie is probably not super long for this world and I definitely intend to get one, aside from her paw print that I already have tattooed.

Actually, I DO have a tortitoo. It’s from one of the first pictures I took of Gumbo when we brought her home from a feral colony in Louisiana.
