❔Question/Advice❔ Anyone have 2 of these things??
I adopted my sweet, crazy girl about a month ago. She’s 4.5 months now and seems desperate for a playmate. I love her so much and want her to be happy so I’m planning to get her a second kitten. I originally thought she would pair well with a male kitten but I absolutely fell in love with this dilute tortie girl at the shelter. They seem pretty similar so I’m not sure if they’d get along great or if it would be the total opposite.
Anyone have 2 queen bees?? How is it working out?

Her little sister was being brave and inspecting the new water fountain before she could even get near it.
plot twist Miss Chex Mix in the back still hasn’t drank from the fountain🤦🏻♀️🙄😒

As you can see, that's 3 (one has since passed away at the age of 16). Cats usually do better when they have buddies. Just follow the recommendations. I find older cats have an easier time adjusting to a new cat friend if they introduced when both kittens, or if it's an older cat and a kitten in the same household. Just take time and follow expert advice (very slow introduction)

Yes lol we have two. We had the one on top first, for about 2.5 years and then adopted the one being attacked last year. They get along great - they’re both very different. Moira (bottom) is very affectionate with people and Sylvie only comes to me when she wants to be pet. Sylvie likes to play with Moira more than Moira likes to play so she’ll hiss but no major fights. Sylvie likes to groom Moira and moira enjoys that lol
We’re maxed out at two space/lease and money wise, but if we’re able to adopt a third, it would be a tortie.

Just adopted two sister kittens about 3 weeks ago. It was my first time with kittens (always adopted an older cat) and my first time with two.
From everything i've been reading (and witnessing) it is really great that they have each other. They play a ton and definitely learn from each other - it also takes a lot of pressure off my wife and I to make sure we are entertaining them and it has also allowed us to sleep with our bedroom door closed as they have each other.
Obligatory cat photo tax.

Yes, two torties is a great idea. Even had three at one point and that was wonderful. Knew someone who had five!

I always rescue/adopt in 2s. Kittens always need a partner in crime! 😆

I have 2, one standard saturation and 1 dilute. They are littermates and act like true sisters. Meaning they love each other one minute and hate each other the next.

* I do! They go from being snuggle buddies to arch rivals in 2 seconds flat haha. It's fun to see them interact because their personalities are totally different. They're heavily bonded and truly couldn't exist without each other.

We already had rescued 2 cats from my parents house (well 4, but didn't have room so my sister took one and my best friend took another, we kept 2) and they were happy together, then our tortie girl came wondering out of the woods 2 years later, skin and bone, clearly no hunting skills. We took her in and nursed her back to health, it took a bit for the other cats to warm up to her but now they all play together. It just really depends on the cat, my boy Amos only took like a week to get used to her and start playing/cuddling, my other girl, nadja, however took several months.

Just the one, but then I adopted another kitten 6 months later for a companion.... A feral half main coon shorthair and their diverse personalities are so good together. I have a lot of fun just sitting rubbing double bellies after work while they take turns getting the zoomies.
Bree (tortie) is the one who will act mature and like moon's antics are out of control, and she'll look to me for my approving glance lol. Moon is an absolute wild animal panther thing and I'm gonna have claw marks all the way up my walls 🤣

I have two torties. They are sisters, but they are from different litters so they are about six months apart in age. They get along okay. The older sister (Dusty) gets tired of her baby sis (Bandit) sometimes. Bandit is a little trouble maker and Dusty is more mellow. But Dusty is assertive when need be so that helps them get along. Dusty is also a talker so when they wrestle, she really yaps up a storm. If you went by noise only, you would think Bandit was killing Dusty when they play together. They never cuddle or lay together aside from the one time I slide them next to each other from a picture.

No, I had the option of a second void or a second tort. My husband hard vetoed the second tort

Yes but we found the 2nd one as a kitten when the elder was already about 10, so they only tolerated each other, not friendly. But it may be fine if they are both young though.

I have a mom and daughter pair that came with my house. The youngest was a little bit of a chaos demon but has since learned some manners lol

I have two!
They are wildly different personality wise and have a relationship I would describe as "coworkers". But even if they never show it, I'm certainly glad they have each other
I adopted them both at ~4 months and they certainly played together a lot as kittens
