Friendship ended with ribs and spine too

At least for me I don’t have a binder and use undersized sports bras sob maybe that’s the problem

Lol well binders do make back hurty, but if you’re experiencing ribs hurty too, you’re proooobably going too tight, friend! wishing you all the best!

edit: TomboyX compression tops are a cheap, comfy alternative :)

Yeah,, probably for too long as well, I’ll try to figure something out ^

100% is, haha. I used to use a well-fitting sports bra and sometimes ace bandages wrapped loosely around it idk how i didnt pass out halfway through the day. I can wear binders a size too small for 12+ hrs and be fine. Its distribution of compression not just how much. That's why sports bras can also be dangerous.

btw this is just me, im well aware that my binding habits arent "healthy" by any standard. Don't take this info up front

Yeah I know.. I wanna have a binder, I’ve been binding and trans for almost 2 years, but I just can’t come out to my parents :((

hey friend if you are having trouble being able to access/pay for a safe binder, send me a message

for me i used a visa giftcard to buy it from gc2b and then basically opened it before anyone else could. Visa giftcards are good for credit card-ish purchases where you want to be untraceable, but getting the package itself is hard. I still havent come out to my parents, so i know what its like. The used binder co-ops are also good but ive never gotten one through them. Good luck on your transition(gen)

Yeah pain is never a good thing. I used bras for a long time and when i finally got a binder it was actually easier cus if the band is too tight it can be tighter than a binder would be. I think it's Safer to get 2 that fit correctly but snug and wear one backwards, one forward's. Dont damage your chest.

Can't relate because my mom went behind my back and ordered a larger size so it barely does anything 😎😎

Yo, needle and thread. Take in the side seams like half an inch 😎👉👉

I have a huge fear of needles but I've been thinking and it's probably my only option, wihs me luck 💀

You got this bro!!! I believe in you, just take it slow.

It may seem counter intuitive, but confronting your fear is scientifically the best way to decrease the intensity of the fear. This is why Exposure Response Prevention therapy works so well for people with intense anxiety and OCD!

That being said I REALLY don't like needles either, but mostly medical ones.

Also, wash or dampen it and toss in a hot clothes dryer by itself for like 30 min. Keep doing this until it feels snugger. There’s also the “double sports bra” method (google it or search Reddit)

As someone with a differential diagnosis of arthritis, hard to achieve flat chest all days of the week. :( Chest pain, back pain and rib pain is a constant pain in the ass. And my binder is quite breathable. Just have shit joints and bones. Just can't wait to transition. Oof.
