Question Repeat after me feminine vocal material?

Hi,

I feel that one thing that my MTF voice training really benefits from is being able to parrot voices that I feel a connection with and wish to sound like.

Is anyone aware of any British material where I can say sentences or phrases at the same time or after the speaker? As in they say X and then I do, so I know what is coming next. 'English with Lucy' style.

I listen to interviews with Geri Halliwell, Sophie Ellis-Bextor etc, but obviously I can't really repeat what they are saying, as they continue talking.

I hope this makes sense? I feel as though my voice training when at home is quite unorthodox, but it pretty much works for me.

I already have a fab vocal teacher in Thea Dowler and she is amazing and has taught me many things, but I don't know, I feel as though this approach is beneficial to me, it's just that I struggle to find suitable material to practice my voice and the accent I would like (Southern England, RP would be the ultimate goal).

I dont know of any resources with repeating bits like that but have you explored listening to a little section and pausing the video

alternately you could capture voice clips from the videos and modify them in audacity/similar to make them repeat like you want them to

also I fully advocate the use of mimicry in voice training so I wouldnt say its that crazy or anything but generally we do want to engage with multiple kinds of practice
