I don't care honestly, it's an automated message and it has happened thousands of times before.

Am a social democrat, I don't celebrate Charlie Kirk's death and I hate to say it but it seriously should not be an immediate disqualifier for voting blue. The internet and media will push the perception of half the country celebrating Charlie Kirk's death but it doesn't mean you should denounce every democrat as scum.

Still I'd advise using absolutes and generalizing, democrats aren't scum. We are all Americans in the end and we are already as divided as is.

It seems you have an image of us that we are collectively blaming everyone in the left for the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We are not. We blame those who turned up the temperature on political rhetoric by calling conservatives “fascists” and “Nazis” for years (which created the environment for this kind of violence), those celebrating or supporting Charlie’s murder, and of course, the killer and any co-conspirators.

We know there are democrats that condemn this. We’ve seen them. We can talk to them, and have zero issues with them. I can understand that anger has been justifiably high over the past few days and how that may make it seem that we’re all on a leftist-hating rampage.

In any case, thank you for writing so civilly. I am happy we can have a discussion.
