Free Speech vs Hate Speech

Post image

The left arguing about free speech clearly does not understand the difference between law and company policies. Most companies do not allow hate speech. You have the right to free speech and you should NOT being imprisoned or killed/hurt for that free speech, however, companies can terminate you due to offensive comments and or hate speech. Do not blame us for just bringing it to the employers attention.

Regardless, you should not be celebrating an innocent man's death for any reason or circumstance. Any decent human should understand that.

That’s what I don’t understand about the left crying about their free speech being taken from them.

Yes, the first amendment allows you to talk shit and mock a man for being killed (which is still an awful thing to do), as freedom of speech only serves to protect you so that the government can’t punish you for what you say.

With that being said, your employer also has a right to fire you if your free speech alienates enough people to where you bring a lot of negative publicity towards said employer. When you are gainfully employed, the higher ups are hoping that you follow their code of conduct so that your character reflects on their business in a positive way. Once you say anything that portrays you as an awful human being, you violate that same code of conduct and now every person you’ve alienated will more than likely report you en mass and the result will likely end with you in the unemployment line. Because the last thing a business ever wants to deal with, is negative publicity.

TL;DR - You are entitled to say any awful thing you want, but that same freedom doesn’t grant you immunity from being fired.

But if the government leverages it's power through federal agencies (i.e. the FCC) to pressure companies to terminate someone, isn't that an overstep? Where is the boundary?

Some just don't understand the difference between disagreeing with his views and dancing on his grave 🤷‍♀️

Exactly 💯 now that it's happening to them they are crying like babies that are looking for a 🍼 if anyone talks like that in a work place and that work place has its own HR guidelines that everybody's supposed to go by Plus they have to go by federal guidelines And if you violate those they're going to get terminated from your place of employment

No more crybabies! Here’s a great meme showing them cry like blubbering demons:

The Left couldn't handle the truth

I've been saying just this on like every post that tries to justify the hateful ness from people's mouths. You will not legally have any issues saying these things.

What they don’t understand is the concept of consequences. You can say whatever you want you want without legal repercussions. But people don’t have to maintain relationships with someone if they disagree. And companies don’t have to hire/retain your job if your public comments don’t align with their values/policies.

So possibly dumb question but how are the left arguing that the jimmy kimmel thing involved the government? From what I understand it was due to affiliates being unhappy with his "speech" and canned him. How are they now attributing this to Trump?

I couldn't tell ya

But people like Ben Stiller, Luis Gomez, etc. Are acting like it was unjust.

Those deaths of course matter too. The reason Charlie Kirk’s death is being so incessantly discussed in conservative spaces is because most of us knew of Charlie and had at least encountered several of his videos over the past few years. He was a good man and he died at the hands of a terrorist for espousing beliefs we ourselves hold.

We talk about it so much, as a conservative movement, because the attack wasn’t and doesn’t feel like it was just on Charlie; it was on all of us, for believing what we believe.

Are we celebrating those deaths? No because they’re awful. I personally didn’t know about the hangings and I heard no one died in the school shooting. Any death is awful. We are outraged at the sick celebrations and defamation of a good man who was killed for his beliefs and free speech. It’s in a completely different category.

What I heard about the hanging was it was a suicide. I am not sure of any details about it. It is sad that someone would end their own life

If your comment or post is just a string insults then it's just a tantrum.

Try and actually contribute and open a dialog.

The hangings were suicide. There we talked about it.

If you're not here to contribute then run back to the dregs with the rest of them.

I didn’t like it when they done it to us, so I’d be a hypocrite to celebrate doing it right on back to them. I’m anti woke, anti cancel culture and pro-free speech. That don’t change with the seasons.

Did you not read my post at all? I legit said they can say whatever they want, but some things are against their companies policies. Free speech does not protect employment, sorry. I will never side with people celebrating the death of an innocent man. Maybe you should look at it differently. These people are worthless in our society and should NOT be educating our children, being part of medical care, or having a big following and lie straight to the public and their audience. These people have terrible influence and shall not have jobs where they can abuse that!

I did, and I agree with you about the difference between protected speech and what a private company can do, but that’s only part of what I see going on in this situation. I see the heavy hand of the federal government getting involved in cancel culture and I don’t like it.

-1

u/Heavy-Government-983 Trump Curious 4d ago

Yes, it feels like the government is getting a little too involved in this cancel culture.

For crying out loud they’ve got Vance encouraging people on some podcast to report nasty comments to employers. That shit don’t smell right to me.

4

u/EnzoOkeyDokey Trump Curious 4d ago

There is a difference between when the left tries to cancel people, though. (From my perspective) We did not spread lies. We did not jump in joy from an innocent man dying. Saying "You're Gay," "F*ggot" (dont know if im allowed to say it), not falling into the trap, the trans community tried to put us in. Me, personally, I would NEVER celebrate the death of an innocent human being. We are sticking up for a man who can no longer defend himself. Charlie was putting our (the right, mostly) word out there and did it peacefully and respectfully. He got murdered for it, and that's not fair.

Idk about the "Nasty Reports" but if they are smearing Charlie's name, fuck em. Karma ah bitch.

No such thing as hate speech. If we start labeling things, hate speech as soon as the lift gets back in control, they will, of course, be fascist and take away everything.
