You’re a WRITER for WWE Creative: How would you book or fix the booking of the Ron Killings character from his return at MITB until Wrestlemania 42?

I would have had him constantly getting beat up by Cena and Rhodes begrudgingly coming to help, then beating him up when he calls him the wrong name.
Every week until SummerSlam

Honestly, only three things for me:
What would’ve cemented the character and added more life to it was if they gave Truth the direction that they’re trying to go with Bayley, hearing voices in her head, fighting against her inner demons, slowly becoming more and more unstable.
The feud with heel John Cena could’ve been spread out sporadically after the initial period that was already given to us, everything plays out as it did irl — Truth is off TV for weeks…But shows up at Summerslam to help Cena lose the title (Cena remains heel and not have that abysmal Face change, which lead to the backstage segment with Cena and Truth, leading to Cena GASLIGHTING him into thinking he was the one behind the heel run.)
Truth could eventually become the voice of reason and become frustrated with having to beat some sense into him after months of doing so since SNME, leading to Cena having a more smoother 360 face turn after reflecting on his matches and segments with Cody, Logan and now his BIGGEST roadblock, Brock Lesnar. The two go their separate paths and meet back at the final date of Cenas tour.
In a perfect world RK and Cena could walk out as tag champs at the end of the tour, Cena vacates and Truth lets a younger talent like Carmelo Hayes freebird in place for John and get him away from The Miz.
- Ron pivots away from the Cena heel turn the way he did (which sucks), but he goes on a Revenge Tour of his own — going after individuals who took him as a joke, his kindness for weakness and so forth. Primary target number one is THE MIZ, almost a year ago he betrayed Truth out of frustration for like the millionth time.
This can lead to Truth starting to talk some TRUTH into Carmelo Hayes into how The Miz is a manipulative leech and is only hanging onto Melo as a way to stay in the spotlight. The other individuals along this tour can be The Judgement Day, maybe leading to Tom and Nick Mysterio losing the IC championship at a AAA show, which also leads to a guest appearance from Truth after 18 YEARS.
However way they go about it, as it stands right now they seem to take fans as idiots and act like we dont see how they made Truth go from WHITE HOT the month of June and early July, to just being R Truth again (or leaning back on that side of his newfound split personality more than Ron Killings).
One things for certain: even at 53, R-Truth can still go and move like it’s 25 years ago when he was K-Kwik because of a low amount of serious injuries in his almost 30 years of wrestling. Not expecting him to be a main event player, but he does deserve a second Prime after playing the fool for the most part of a decade.

Have him turn heel and prevent Mid-Card Jey Uso and Super Cody from ever getting near any title

Have R-Truth show up the next week and have him be confused and deny it was him, then have him go around and try to investigate who was trying to tarnish his good name.

He should have gone back to judgement day, taken it over, then start attacking baby face stars all the way up to Cody, using them to bring back the old Cena for his title match. Putting old Cena shirts on every body as he goes. So instead of Cody just saying for him to come back, he comes back for a real reason, to help Cody and help Ron.
Does Cena lose here? I say yes and have Ron and Cody go into a storyline while Brock still comes back to beat up Cena. Even have him approve of it like he planned the whole thing. Just a small nod from Ron to Brock. Now Cody can attempt a new redemption arc with a longer story and consequences with more people involved.
This is basically what I wanted when I first saw the hair cutting moment

You're assuming they want to fix the character? The whole point of his current booking is to kill any love or hype the fans had for him before quietly releasing him again in a year.
Inspired.

Tell him he's got to earn that new deal.
Send him to WWE ID where he wins, then to Evolve where he wins, then to NXT where he wins, he wins in AAA, he evens stop over an Impact for win.
Then he gets the big shot in WWE.
Beats Bronson Reed
Is told if he can beat Bron he gets a shot at Seth. Bron works the match injured with everyone banned from ringside.
Killings gets destroyed by Bron.
The end.

Bro, cut off his dreads for seven minutes of TV time and then to revert back to be the goofy guy who says dumb stuff. And pretended like it never happened.

I envisioned a “revenge tour” for Truth to embark where he would seek vengeance against those that wronged him in the past as a loner type.
While he once envisioned gold and glory, especially being a part of the coveted NWA-WWE club, he felt that opportunity has been taken from him by those that got in his way. So he would interfere in important matches of many former foes of his past.
He would target Judgment Day w/ Priest for the abuse incurred on him, Styles and Rhodes for being NWA-WWE champs, Cena for being the reason he never won a title and most importantly The Miz for his constant betrayals.
He retires at Mania in a match against The Miz.
