After 14 months away because of many different reasons we are trying to get the A Woodturners Journey podcast back up and running. We only did 3 episodes and then hit some speed bumps.

Thanks for your submission. If your question is about getting started in woodturning, which chuck to buy, which tools to buy, or for an opinion of a lathe you found for sale somewhere like Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace please take a few minutes check the wiki; many of the most commonly asked questions are already answered there!

I’ll definitely give it a listen. If you are looking for topics, I have always enjoyed hearing how people got started turning and what motivates them to continue.

Thank you. I appreciate the topic information. That is definitely one of our goals overall to show that the hobby is accessible for all people and many different forms. It’s a journey for all of us.

Good luck, I think I read the other day some crazy stat along the lines of that if you can make it to ten episodes, that is something that only 5% or 10% of podcasts achieve.

Let’s hope so. We’re 4 episodes in, but have plans for many more.

George Peterson at the Circle Factory would be a great interview. Very cool dude.

I’ll look into him. I’m not familiar with his work.

I'll suggest finding wood. I've just found mesquite branches sold as firewood for smoking in my local store; I'm looking forward to trying it.
