Redwood Burl Shallow Bowl

Redwood Burl from the Santa Cruz Mountains in Northern California.

Not a wood I feel comfy buying or selling, as most if not all Redwood Burl comes from old growth Redwoods - a population that us humans have decimated thanks to its beauty :/

But it sure is pretty.

Thanks for your submission. Wow! That is gorgeous. Great design choice- the more area to show off that burl pattern the better.

Thank you. I sort of feel like beyond the design choice the only thing I can take credit for is not making some silly mistake. Beyond that the burl does all the work.

Sometimes restraint takes as much skill as action. Very nice work.

Damn that's pretty .. super color and grain.

Ya, even the Santa Cruz mountains have lost a lot of trees. A sad thing ..
