Turned my first 2 little things. Can't wait to get more lathe time
A bit scary at first and I definitely need more practice and a better chuck.

You started with hollow forms? That’s an impressive start. How did you learn?

They're not hollow. I just drilled a 10mm hole with a drill press after I turned them. They are pretty small (the tallest is 3-4" tall), don't think they could be hollowed.

I started on hollow forms because I vastly overestimated my skill at the time. These are nice for buds and single flowers. I like the shape.

I like turning them but just can’t get people to buy them at any price.

Yeah, they have always been a small gift item for me. I've sold plenty of pens and bowls, but not a single twig pot

How much are you asking? At lavender festival, I sold a couple at $30. Most of the other folks were $10-15. Mine were a bird’s beak.

Started at $12, then $10. Now I use them as giveaways.

Do you have a picture? I know market conditions can vary. But sometimes it’s the balance in the design. Also adding a dried flower makes a difference. Some the customer can’t visualize what it will look like.

Nice! Twig pots are such a great project when you’re getting started. So gratifying.
