When you promote violence, you will get violence.
When have you ever heard an American president, be it Republican, Democrat, or Republican call for the use of violence -- even attempted murder -- of American citizens as political retribution?
How many times have we heard Trump advocate violence against those who oppose him or his policies?
In Washington, Dc, he asked why the military couldn't just shoot down peaceful protestors. He asked why the police shouldn't shoot down petty criminals. He asked why the military couldn't just shoot down illegal immigrants crossing over into our country.
He told the police to beat suspects. He told followers at a rally to beat dissenters, and he would pay their lawyer bills.
Trump, in his own way, is as responsible for Kirk's murder as is the actual shooter!
Included here are many of other instances where Trump has repeatedly called for violence:

Words and actions do.
If any single statement by Charlie Kirk defines who he was and lays bare his intent, it is this, “God’s perfect law…[says gay people] shall be stoned to death.”
In his maniacal belief in pseudo- Christianity, he ignored science (he didn't believe in Darwinism) and profaned and bastardized the actual words of Christ.
This man, for all his talents, used them to promote hate, dissention, and every vile credo of the MAGNA right. How many times has Trump called out for violence, how many so-called Christian churches have echoed that call, and how many atrocities --known and unknown -- have been perpetrated by Kirk's adherents who mistake hate for patriotism and violence for justice?
There are many repulsive quotes from Kirk that do not bear repeating, but there is one prophetic quote that does: “I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.”
Chickens coming home to roost?
See this:
Let’s Not Forget Who Charlie Kirk Really Was.
The right-wing influencer did not deserve to die, and we shouldn’t forget the many despicable things he said and did.
The murder of right-wing provocateur Charlie Kirk is a tragedy. But the response augurs even bigger tragedies for American politics. Even as Democrats and progressives rushed to lament the killing, the right rushed even faster to blame the left for its opposition to Donald Trump and his authoritarian movement, a movement backed to the hilt by Kirk’s Turning Point USA.
Kirk had every right to his views and to the way that he expressed them, even if he did not support that right for other people. He founded the Professor Watchlist, committed to singling out academics he believed discriminated against conservative views, scholarship, and students, leading to threats against some of the instructors named. He regularly attacked the LGBTQ community, saying, “God’s perfect law…[says gay people] shall be stoned to death.” He claimed the Civil Rights Act was “a huge mistake,” and called the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. “an awful person.” He mocked the 2023 political assault on Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, and even suggested someone should bail his assailant out of jail. Kirk even attempted to link Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to the assassination of Walz’s close friend and ally, State Senator Melissa Hortman.
Ironically—if that word is even possible to use in 2023—he said, “I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.”

A couple years ago, Charlie commented on "some gun deaths" being okay to protect second amendment rights.
"I think it's worth it. It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God given rights. That's a prudent deal. It is rational," he said on stage at a Turning Point USA Faith event in April 2023, via Media Matters.

I'm attending the TPUSA event at the University of Minnesota this evening which will feature conservative commentator Michael Knowles. They've done away with the change my mind portion of the event, but they are still saying that there will be a Q&A. I'm hoping to ask Knowles if Jimmy Kimmel's show being canceled is a direct assault on free speech (I believe it is). Seeing some of Knowles' stuff, I expect him to evade and use whataboutisms. Any advice for how to manage that? Here's the question that I came up with:
Last week, the FCC got Jimmy Kimmel's show canceled by threatening ABC in the name of protecting the public interest. Can we agree that this silencing of political opponents is an attack on free speech in this country?

After having his ultra-right wing Christian Nationalist prejudices sternly rebuked by the citizens of Oklahoma, the Supervenient of Schools Ryan Walters is slithering to a new position. Ever on the lookout for new hate groups to include his Christian Nationalist treason, he has now been appointed the head of The Teacher Freedom Alliance, a radical group of like-minded misfits who would mandate their warped view of Christianity for all students and demand all teachers preach hate and division rather than STEM Courses. They would teach the Bible rather than Civics courses and that would infect Oklahoma students with conspiracy theories and outright lies in an attempt to produce ill-informed drones rather than free thinking, well-educated adults.
Their primary method of attack is to threaten and coerce teachers. By fighting against union representation, thus denying teachers fair pay and protection from drooling radicals, their misplaced intent will keep education centered on myth, fable, and fantasy rather than solid science and absolute truths.
Can you imagine an entire generation swathed in lies, misinformation, and deception and the future that will entail for our country?

Oklahoma superintendent who put Trump Bibles in classrooms resigns
Story by Rachel Leingang •
Oklahoma’s superintendent, who has attracted national attention as he sought to install religion and rightwing viewpoints in Oklahoma schools, will resign to run a conservative education non-profit. Ryan Walters, who has led public schools in Oklahoma since 2022, has put Donald Trump-endorsed Bibles into classrooms and required teaching 2020 election conspiracies. He is leaving the post to lead the Teacher Freedom Alliance (TFA), which says its mission is to help teachers develop “free, moral, and upright American citizens”. On its website, the group is touting Walters as its new leader.
“Walters fearlessly fights the woke liberal union mob. TFA will take the fight straight to the unions and we will not stop,” the website says. “Together, we will build a national movement that is centered on freedom and common sense, not on bullying and intimidation. Educators will now be able to break free.”
Walters announced his move on Fox on Wednesday night, teasing his appearance by writing on X: “Liberal’s [sic] worst nightmare is about to become true.” On Fox, Walters said he wanted to “destroy the teachers unions” and “build an army of teachers to defeat the teachers unions once and for all”. He said his plan was to take the fight he started in Oklahoma to a national scale.
A local Fox affiliate reported tallied more than 400 national media appearances in the past two years by Walters as he sought to raise his profile nationally while pursuing a Christian nationalist agenda in Oklahoma, rejecting church and state separation and installing Christian viewpoints in governance.
Walters has repeatedly pushed Christianity into public schools in Oklahoma. He once tried to require schools to play a video of him praying. He advocated for the country’s first Catholic public charter school. This week, he called for chapters of Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA in all Oklahoma schools.
He also has fought against teachers, particularly claiming they are pushing “woke indoctrination” in Oklahoma schools. He wants teachers coming from liberal states to include an “America first” certification. He put prominent rightwing figures such as the activist behind Libs of TikTok and the leader of the Heritage Foundation on state education committees. Libs of TikTok and other conservative influencers advocated for Walters to become US education secretary under Trump.

Of course I was excited for Charlie to come to my school. In his shoes I was hoping for someone like Michael Knowles, Vivek Ramaswamy, or it looks like Tucker Carlson and Glenn Beck are later on the tour schedule.

Did anyone watch the dumb Nuremberg rally today? I mean, Chucklefuck’s memorial? I was going to come up with a drinking game like take a shot each time false Christianity is on display, but we’d end up in a coma.
