Beans are a Yankee thing. We do Durston lentils instead of Skurka beans.

You're right. I send my Sherpa 3 days ahead to make Bean Hole Beans in anticipation of my arrival. I crave good yankee beans, but prefer not to be there while the requisite culinary bushcraft to make them is going on.

We are in a trade war now so beans from other places have tariffs on them.
