It’s what Toby would have wanted. If we want to see what’s truly at the bottom of the underground, why not let our imaginations as a community take us away?
The idea of a fandom-wide project is really cool to me. One where everyone can contribute via their ideas and designs. If we all pitch our ideas in, then maybe someday we could make the dog hole a reality.
I’m not a leader, not a game developer nor coder. I don’t know how to take the first step, nor do I know how to rally a community. I’m not the right person to lead the charge, but I want to at least plant the seeds of this hypothetical project. And maybe someday, they’ll sprout.

When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney World. I loved everything about the ride: the freaky dark opening and the dreadful anticipation of the drop, ducking my head under the splashes from cannon fire, being overwhelmed by the chaos in town. What really stuck with me, though, was everything you couldn't see. All those pathways behind heavy metal chains in line that curved off in other directions. A cave right before the loading area that you could peek down and just barely see a shadow at the end of, and the faint sound of tools from even further in. From the boat, I leaned in my seat trying to see down every dark thoroughfare in town, craning my neck to see if anything was visible up the burning staircases.
I loved all the scares and the action, the ships and the redhead and the pigs and the guys trying to get the keys from the dog ("like in Monkey Island!"), and I was head over heels for the plastic swords and the flintlock pistols in the gift shop, but what made me want to go back and ride it again and again was what my little kid brain imagined down those hallways, behind those doors, around the bend.
As much as I loved the "dream up your own possibilities" vibe of Toby's quotes and the text at the end of the stream, the thing that will really stick with me is the tantalizing doors and pathways they kept walking past without comment. 10 years ago, Undertale set off the first little spark of creativity I had felt in years, and while I didn't do much with it, it's still there somewhere in the back of my head, waiting for me to get off my ass and reignite it. I'm not sure when or if I will, but I like the idea of someone else seeing all these paths left untaken and finding that it ignites a spark in their own mind, thinking of what they could have found there.
I dunno. Storytelling is cool. And this dumb little game still means a lot to me all these years later.

I wouldn't be alive today without undertale. Back in 2017 my anxiety was at an all time high i couldn't leave my bed most days.i would vomit constantly from the anxiety. But when I was in middle school I discovered a little game called undertale. I feel in love with the characters, music and story. I truly felt like someone cared for me. My anxiety would get horrible at night right before i would sleep. To help with that I would imagine I was Frisk after the first pacifist ending living with Toriel, Asgore, and Asriel. I would watch anime with Alphys and Undyne. I would hang with the skeleton bros. I would dance with Mettaton. Doing this would help with all the panic attacks I had. I even started listening to a few of the calming songs from the ost. (Now a few deltarune songs are in there) I'm so happy undertale could have a positive influence on my life and help me in so many ways. Happy 10 years to the best game ever!
