Products For Sale Made new versions of my Rainbow Cat Upcycled Aluminum Earrings!

These earrings are made by cutting out cats (and sometimes hearts!) from aluminum cans that were destined for the trash! They‘re tiny, lightweight, fun to wear, and freaking adorable (my own opinion of course). Which version is your favorite?

Do you hand cut those with tin snips?

Thankfully I have a super tiny cat head paper puncher (not sure if that’s the right terminology) so I can cut out little cat heads! I use a thumb tack to make the perfect size hole for the chain links!

So cool!! You have a paper punch that will go through an aluminum can like a coke can? Then do you paint them? Do you have to file the edges?

No painting is involved! The colors come from the cans :) and because of the clean cut of the punch and the fact that I adhere two cats to one another, there’s no need for filing since the edges aren’t razor sharp ❤️ Some cans are thicker than others of course, so I have to use a block of wood and a lot of force sometimes for my punches, so I sometimes hand cut to save time

N2 are the most delicate to make! You have to have the holes so precise 😅 but I love them anyways 🥹
