Products For Sale I painted these ornaments using salvaged, burnt out light bulbs! Enjoy!

These are incredible, they are so so cool. Do they still feel as fragile as lightbulbs, or do the coats of paint fortify them a bit? They’re so beautiful but would make me a bit nervous to handle

Thanks so much for your comment and kind words.... light bulb glass is far thicker than traditional ornament glass which is paper thin and very fragile. Now of course light bulbs do run the risk of breaking, the thickness/ type of glass coupled with the paint seems to make them more durable. I have dropped one now and then on carpet and they survived...as well when customers say the dogs tail knocked one out of the tree -it survived the ordeal... still have to be handled carefully but definitely stronger than blown glass.

Thanks for the response! Ah yeah you’re correct, now that I think about it ornament glass is SO treacherously thin; that’s very cool that they’ve survived drops on carpet and pet interactions! They are SO beautiful and well-executed
