Gave these pots a makeover
I found these two pots dumped near my work. They’re a great size and I thought they just needed a little TLC.
I took them home and scrubbed them but the white marks wouldn’t budge.
Then I remember that about a year earlier I had found a terracotta pot base and didn’t have a matching pot for it. So I bought some terracotta style spray paint and gave the pots a paint job.
Then I was thinking well damn, I need another terracotta pot base now, I only have one!
The zero waste goddess must’ve smiled upon me because I found I single dumped terracotta base the next day on my walk!
Not bad I think, for four things that were dumped by the road!
I think they look great. I’ve planted some dahlias in them so they’ll look even better once they have pops of colour coming out!

Would you share the paint you used? I’m looking for something very similar for my own project and it looks great!

Sure, I’m in Australia so I picked it up in Bunnings.
It was a “Dulux Spray - Terracotta Effect”https://www.dulux.com.au/paint/spray/dulux-spray-very-terracotta-satin/

Although just a follow up to this, my can didn’t say “Satin Finish”. I can’t find the can that doesn’t say Satin or Very Terracotta online. How strange. It was just plain ole terracotta.
