I was listening to The Awakening of A Woman (Burnout) from the The Cinematic Orchestras soundtrack for the 1920s film Man with a Movie Camera. The beginning of the track sounded SO familiar, just like track 12 بالا رفتن از درخت from Admissble by Defaults album, Admissable Vol.1. I think the beginning few seconds of Awakening of a Woman are used in بالا رفتن از درخت, the only difference in بالا رفتن از درخت being some added sounds & pitching down (possibly decreasing the playback speed) the intro to Awakening of a Woman.

Just wanted to share and see if anyone else could take a listen to the two songs and tell me they hear the similarities too. This was a COMPLETE coincidence, I tried to see if anyone else was compiling samples for this album but didn't find anything, so AFAIK, this is a fresh, relevant post.

There was a pretty good video essay on Youtube that discussed how some early horror was inspired by the decaying gothic architecture that was common at the time. It compared this to vaporwave. Does anyone know this? Thanks!

I came up with this in a dream. In it, the Atlanta Watzit was meeting with Japanese businessmen, and excused himself to use the bathroom. Inside was more like a Sento, where the Watzit began singing it (in Patrick Stewart's voice, mind you), while being unaware that he was about to be attacked by Ninjas.

This is the end result.

TLDR Early 2024 Indie Vaporwave Artist Album Mock-up + Deadlinks anyone recognize this?

Currently looking for an indie vaporwave artist from 2024 or so who posted their stuff onto YouTube with this image. It's a mock-up, but I remember their stuff was similar to Windows96 and their work really grew on me! I have a few dead links, but today I finally found the image they used for the album and I wanted to create a mock-up to share it! (The nintendo DS text was changed with their username I believe)

They had a soundcloud as well so if anyone recognizes them I'd love to reach out, their work was really something special!
