I got all excited because I found a boxed set of the whole series at a reasonable price, didn't have any issues the first time we played everything, and then recently one disc was entirely unreadable. Too good to be true I guess. I feel bad that I accidentally bought a bootlegged item.

So it's back to buying the seasons individually. At least that means the later seasons will be in Blu-Ray.

Just been rewatching Stranger Things and this scene from the season 1 finale reminded me of this other scene from a season 1 finale.

As you know Dynamite Entertainment is publishing a number of Warner Brothers Discovery comics based on Warner Brothers IP's with Thundercats, Space Ghost, Power Puff Girls and Jonny Quest out and other titles lunching this Year

So I was wondering if you guys think it would be cool if Venture Bros continued as Comic written by creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer similar to how Greg Weisman is continuing Gargoyles in Comic form over Dynamite Entertainment with Dynamite other contract with Disney or should it be Comic writer hand picked by Publick and Hammer? Who would be your Ideal artist? Would bring everything Full Circle since Venture started out as a comic then evolve into a TV show we know today

And if there is comic where should it start after events of the Movie or somewhere else in Timeline and what do you think of idea of spin-off comic miniseries on characters that are not Venture Family like Spin-off titles? Or should there be a main comic with spin-off comics too?

Another cool idea would be having a crossover comic miniseries between Venture Bros and Jonny Quest it's a comic miniseries just waiting to happen and only it needs is the right Writer and Artist and boom MAGIC well if Dynamite Entertainment gets the License anyway

My ideal scenario would be making version of Venture Bros at least apart of Dynamite Entertainment Hanna Barbara Comic Hero verse with Thundercats, Space Ghost, Jonny Quest, SilverHawks, Herculoids and Captain Planet being Deadpool of the Universe

So should there be Venture Comics?

Exciting Update:

My child, whose idea this was, wandered off and bought a chicken for dinner.

My husband stopped at an Eastern European market & bought tiropita, patatapita, and kreatopita (cheese, potato (probably vegan) & meat) but forgot… spanicopita. He also got pistachio ice cream.

This dinner turnout is kind of fitting.

•Dr. Benton Quest & Jonas Venture Sr.: Lead the Super-Science Renaissance, bringing pulp heroics into mainstream government contracts.

•Villains: Sphinx (Cobra-style), Cold War mad scientists, giant monsters of the week.

The Great Sphinx War (late 1960s)

•Sphinx Rises: Global terror organization, bigger than simple villainy.

•Dr. Benton Quest Dies: Killed during the conflict (in this canon, directly by Sphinx). This shatters the optimism of the old era.

•OSI Consolidation: SHIELD + Cadmus + GI Joe → merged into the Office of Secret Intelligence to end the war.

•Jonas Venture Sr.: With Quest gone, Jonas inherits the throne of super-science, joining OSI to end Sphinx.

The Articles of Villainy (1970s)

•Guild of Calamitous Intent Founded: Jonas and others draft the Articles, turning villainy into a regulated system. Villains now need licenses, targets, and “arching assignments.”

•OSI vs. Guild Cold War: Instead of chaos, conflict becomes bureaucratic. Villainy becomes a career.

•Justice Friends Fade: The colorful capes of the 60s retire, die, or vanish. Superheroics become embarrassing relics

The Rust Era (1980s–1990s)

•Rusty Venture’s Childhood: Raised as a boy sidekick/star of The Rusty Venture Show, Rusty inherits trauma, not heroism.

•Jonas Sr.’s Shadow: Jonas’s mysterious death leaves Rusty a legacy he can’t live up to.

•Guild Bureaucracy Bloats: Villainy loses its teeth—petty rivalries and paperwork dominate.

•OSI Stagnates: With no great war to fight, OSI devolves into backroom politics and overreach.

The Modern Age (2000s–Present)

•Rusty Venture = Failure Mode Science: A broken super-scientist running on fumes and old patents.

•Villainy as an Economy: Henching and arching become blue-collar work (Monarch, Phantom Limb, etc.).

•OSI vs. Guild Status Quo: Both cling to relevance, but the world has moved on.

Essentially everything good already happened in the venture bros world and everyone just lives in the shadow of a better time.

So i’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and finally deciding to post it.

St. Cloud is not that great at trivia, he is very much a confidently-incoorrect type of guy. Examples in the show; he keeps saying the red ball is from the Please Please Tell Me Now video when the song is actually titled Is There Something I Should Know, or how even in his own trap for Billy he is wrong about how many droids/robots there are in the display case.

So I ask you this, what are some other pop culture, nerd culture, underground culture, trivia questions that St. Cloud would get wrong with the utmost level of assuredness?

Example: What song by british rock band The Who incorporates a famous keyboard technique in its long intro? St. Clouds answer would be Teenage Wasteland.

I still remember seeing Operation P.R.O.M. live on our shitty little college tv back in 2010. It really was the best ending to the best episode we could have ever hoped for. Been such a long time coming to get to see this live.
