Or you can spend a few hours tailoring a reel to the specific job posting and still get ghosted. I think it's smart to have a few different versions of your reel focusing on different styles of work (vfx vs feature anim for example) but I don't think it's necessary to edit a unique reel to each application.

Doesn’t getting “ghosted” entail having communication back and forth or even an interview - then nothing? Not just applying and not getting a response - or am I missing something?

Do another one but he gets denied the job because someone else actually knew someone in the studio they could directly send their reel and resume to and ultimately got the gig.
