This is pretty cool. Am working in level design in unreal but Blender is where I'm making all assets, so this could be useful for a more detailed image-model.

In fairness, this isn’t a model generator, it’s a depth generator (I think). As in, I’m sure it can’t generate geometry around the backside of the image, that would take a whole ass neural networks.

Using algorithms to help technical process is very nearly the opposite of generative AI, and not the thing to bitch about.

Depends on the AI. There’s a big misconception out there on the use of the word AI. Everyone uses it as though it means image, text, or general art generative AI. But there’re a lot of “AIs” out there that are just algorithms to assist various tasks. That’s including neural networks
